yeah, what's the expectation here? that he has X amount of practices first? did that apply to daley and hagelin - players who were less familiar with the team/system than pouliot?

If Letang didn't end up playing.. Pouliot would have played no doubt, there would have been no other reason to call him up I don't think. He was an insurance policy.

He would have played if Letang couldn't go as mentioned. Daley and Hagelin have a few more NHL games under their belts.

No, but basically I see a player who was supposed to be a top four, offensively skilled defenseman who cannot crack the line up of a team which really needs that kind of player while his draft cohort (Maata) is in his 3rd year in the NHL and his lesser skilled acquired cohort (DeMoulin) is an established regular.
