I read an article in a research journal in 1985 that discussed a computer simulation that recommended pulling the goalie with over 2.5 minutes left when down by 1 and more than that when down by 2 or more.

They had to allow the 3rd goal so Errey can praise them for winning a one-goal game again.

Has Party Hard been the goal song all year?
No. Some blogger put together a campaign to adopt it.
I think it was a dude from PSAMP, and he launched the campaign late last season.
Cool. I dig it.
I do, too, which is surprising, since I'm light years away from the core demographic.
My wife and I actually almost chose that as the song we left the alter to following our wedding ceremony this summer.

Might see more Scuds/Letang. (For those at work, Johnston liked what Scuderi provided for Letang.)

Translation: Scuderi doesn't have an offensive bone in his body, nor can make a pass or keep an offensive zone cycle alive. Scuderi stays back.

Sorry HCMJ, there's nothing "safe" about that.

For how much I saw people complaining about the Scuderi/Letang pairing prior to the game (both here and Twitter), they weren't on the ice for a goal against, which people were trying to claim as a knock on them (because they were on the ice together for like 7 minutes and had 1 goal against earlier in the season). Letang and Cole were on the ice for the 1st Avs goal, but other than that, they didn't appear to be a detriment.

I agree, Letang and Scuderi looked fine out there together. Scuderi has been one of our best defensemen this season, also. He was terrific late in the third, standing up a forward at the blue line that would have likely turned into a scoring opportunity.

If we made a list of every defenseman who should be scratched, Scuderi would be near the bottom, with Cole at spots 1, 2, and 3. On a related note, Clendening looked solid, again.

The only bad thing about a Letang and Scuds pairing is Scud's lack of speed.

He's the perfect type of partner for Letang because Scuderi has the most hockey IQ of the defense, and I would argue most of the team and it allows Letang to free lance a little more since he worries about defense. He is just a slower version of Martin (granted Martin had great transition abilities). Not that it's an ideal pair, but it's crazy enough to work.

Six years is six years but he was the fastest of the two defenseman that shut down Ovy's line in the playoffs. Crazier pairs have had decent results.

I'll admit I was concerned about the Letang-Scuderi pairing. But it worked. Let's hope it continues to work.

I would really really like to have a clone of Hal Gill from 2009 come playoff time...

A huge defender that just sucks the forwards into him...

It stinks we weren't able to keep Martin. He's playing quite well for the Sharks.

That I can definitely agree with. I was one of his biggest supporters, and would have loved to see him re-signed.
