MIMH, I don't have a problem with your first two picks. Getting the number one overall receiver plus a TE two tiers above everyone else gives you a pretty big advantage. It's your next 3 picks where I think you'll likely lose the league. You needed to load up on running back after that with a solid guy at 29 (Morris, Miller, etc.) and then a few homerun swings. Take a Foster a round early, go after Gurley. I guess Abdullah could qualify but he won't be enough.

I went WR-WR to start and ended up with a pretty nice team (also had Gronk as a late keeper). To win a league when you don't have a top RB tandem you need to grab a lottery ticket and hope it's the right one. IMO Foster is that guy this year.

I almost picked Tom Brady in the 5th round.

Going to be kicking myself for that one.

I know the injury history, but is Foster the automatic starter in Houston when he gets back in 4 weeks or so? Gonna pick him up and just sit on him

I'd pick him up for sure if he's available.

Yeah, I did. Well at least it should go thru tmw. The guy who drafted him must have not known he was injured then panicked when he saw he was for that timeframe. I just wasn't sure how often he's been injured the last couple seasons, just knew he has been.

I took Foster in a couple leagues at round 7-8ish. Also got Blue in those leagues. Foster is a lottery ticket that could win you the league and he's going to have all those games of rest like Bell.

so you play for easy money but decide to handicap yourself? You are acting as if rbs are dime a dozen and wrs are a precious commodity. Youre the only person ive encountered that thought that way...mostly because its completely wrong.
I was just going by what I considered the best value at the time. I didn't want to reach for an RB. If I saw an RB worth taking, I would've taken them. Gronk at 20 was a no brainer, Sanders and Brees were average value and everyone else I took was great value.

I'll never understand people's love affair with RBs.
In a non-PPR league the obsession is that the RB is guaranteed to touch the ball ~20 times a game. A WR might be 5ish on average with a chance of not touching the ball.

Yes, and he's a must start regardless of matchup. Whenever he's healthy he's a top 5 back in the league bar none. Health is always an issue for him but if he's playing weeks 14-16 he can win you a league.

well then, good to know. Hopefully I'm the only one paying attention to preseason moves. A trio of Beast Mode/Forte/Foster would be choice

Problem with Foster is that he could sit out up to 8 games. Also, he could easily get injured in the rest of the season too. I had to deal with that last year.

But yeah, when he plays he's a top back

Yeah he could play 8 games and outscore all of your rbs.

Charles and Vincent Jackson. I'm a lot more optimistic for Maclin tho than a lot of people (mainly because I held off on WR in the lgp league he's my #1 right now :( ) but despite the alex smith factor reports are the chiefs want to use him all over the field this year. We'll see I guess.

Maclin will be much better than where he is being drafted, but he will still have worse numbers than last year.

Hm OK. I want to trade for CJ Anderson for homer reasons so I bumped up the price to Anderson and Jordan Matthews.

I like that, I want every piece of the Philly offense I can get.

Is there any discernible difference between FanDuel and Draftkings?

I haven't had anything new to be angry about in a while, so I'm going to give this gambling, errrr, fantasy football a shot.

I'm interested in this too. I might try it out in addition to my weekly line betting. I need new outlets to lose money

lol, New York Times. Wouldn't have guessed they'd have an opinion on the matter: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/14/sport ... stors.html

Draft Kings is aligned with ESPN. So if it's a coinflip I'll go with FanDuel.

Won 53$ on draft kings tonight. One 50$ win, one 3$ win... I'll take it. If I had made on different roster move on the 50$ win, I would have won 125$ blah.

College Football -- Biggest difference I think is.. on Draft Kings your draft 2 QB's, and have 2 flex spots. FanDuel you only draft 1 QB, and have 1TE spot.

NFL wise, pretty similar, except in Draft Kings you do not draft a kicker. FanDuel you do have a kicker. I that is really the only difference.

I play both but prefer draft kings overall I guess.

From what I understand DK has an extra WR/RB/TE Flex in place of the kicker, which is a bigger wildcard to me.

Reading through reveiws, reddit, etc it really does seem to be a coinflip. Because of the flex thing discussed, and the ESPN thing, I just made a deposit with FanDuel. FanDuel also sponsers the TK Show, which is something. I used offer code "Nigel" and got my "matched" bonus.

I've heard DK has the better UI. It really does seem like a coin flip decision. Thanks for the info.

I own Foster in all 3 of my leagues. Latest reports say end of Sept. start of Oct. I'm very happy here.

In my other league, about half of the people auto-drafted so there are no interesting injury pickups (like A.Foster) to be made since the computer just went ahead and drafted everyone in order. Made for a pretty boring live draft as well.

After last year, I'm happy to not be on the Foster rollercoaster this year. Every week seemed like a 50/50 chance of him not playing. It'll only be worse this year...
