I don't know the difference between F1 and Indy Car...is there a difference?

I'm not the droid you're looking for. :pop:

Is the cost a combo of the car/driver package? Cos Bottas isn't making anything like $19 mil.

Also, for the two unique grands prix, are the picks first-come-first-served? Like, if I set my team and unique two today, and someone else comes in and picks the same lineup, when we get to those two races, does the second person have to do a driver swap for those events? I'm a little fuzzy on that one.

And if you win, I'll agree to provide the prizing on the set terms. I mean, you can just go buy yourself a 1:43 at any time, right?

GP set selection is first come first served. If a second person picks the same set as you and doesn't change their pick they will forfeit their bonus round multiplier. I will clarify a little better that unique GP set selection is only actually required if you also have identical teams. It's a mechanism to allow for anyone to have the exact drivers they want while still having a unique result at the end of the year. For the more knowledgeably F1 types there is a strategy at play here (speed trap teams do well at Monza, others at Monaco, etc), so best to pick early.

Salary is just generated to keep the teams even. You could buy the whole bottom of the grid if you wanted, or just buy 2-3 top guys. Has nothing to do with their real life income, most are pay to play anyway.

If I win and you want to put up the prize, GT:S is about the same price...

In the other league I do this in we have to have unique teams. The GPs modifier is an addition I put in (and was shot down by my other group) to make the likelihood of that happening a bit less. I originally was going to go with three but pared it down to two for simplicity sake. Sorry mate.

NASCAR cars have that cool midlevel engine noise as they pass by.

NHRA Top Fuel cars shake the earth and rattle your teeth as they pass by.

F1 Indy cars sound like a group of rice burning gnats as they pass by.

I think that best describes the sounds of each car.

Gonna have to research the driver's and race tracks, because this sounds like fun.

@tifosi77 I almost picked Hamilton and Raikkonen, but thought that wasn't leaving me enough wiggle room.

I think @dodint and @CBear3 might have done well with their Bottas selections; he's the wildcard in the top six seats, IMO. Which is weird for me to say that, because I'm banking on Kimi being less pedestrian this year.

I'm a former champion. Kind of a big deal...

I picked up Kimi that year he exploded at Lotus. Then I retired. This is my comeback tour.

I'm a nerd. I took each seats' points output from last year, adjusted for new rules and drivers for 2017, divided by the salary and picked the three highest.

Ha, the extent of my analysis was to complain that Shyster swiped all my picks. Literally, the fcker went 6-for-6.

Sorry. :(

I decided to try for consistency, and then I looked to see what races Riccardo and Vettel seem to finish well.

Six teams so far. Enough for a proper podium and a healthy field of losers. I like it.
