Holy **** he was exactly the 19th WR

Are you a wizard?

Also I obviously reached for Denver as the first defense. My picks are so far apart that I wanted a top tier defense vs a midtier because I knew as soon as the first defense domino fell they would all fall

It's gonna be harder in my work league to get them because there are two other Bronco fans...

also, I didn't mean to draft VJax...I ran out of time but I was trying to draft Jimmy Graham. We'll see how that plays out

And yes my RBs are turd outside of Rawls

Wasn't going to post my draft cuz its my cheaper, 8 team throw away league, but thought I would in case someone had thoughts that would help in my main draft on Sunday. PPR. We have expanded rosters since it is an 8, but we do a normal 2rb, 2wr, 2flex

Blake Bortles QB
Matt Stafford QB

A.J. Green WR
Jordy Nelson WR
Donte Moncrief WR
Golden Tate WR
Tyler Lockett WR
Doug Baldwin WR

Lamar Miller RB
Devonta Freeman RB
Latavius Murray RB
Duke Johnson Jr. RB
Ameer Abdullah RB

Antonio Gates TE
Chandler Catanzaro K
Houston DEF

With 2 WR and 2 Flex in a PPR, I would go nothing but WR (or the right TE) in my first 4 rounds unless a RB that is used in the passing game is available in the 3rd or 4th round.

I'm assuming AJ was round 1 and Jordy round 2? Who was 3 and 4: Miller and Freeman?

Ive said that for the past few years that I'm going heavy WRs from now on and never had the guts. I'm indoctrinated that you need stud RBs. I was drinking at actually thought that's what I did hear until the next day I read the recap lol. 3 of my first 5 were rbs. I had the 8th pick. So I took Green/Miller b2b, then Freeman/Jorday b2b.

Ten years ago, I would say running backs. In today's NFL and PPR scoring, load up on those wide-outs.

I did a 12 team PPR league with Normal 1 2 2 1 flex D K and I had 8th pick in snake.

My first 5 were AJ Green, A. Cooper, TY Hilton, Greg Olsen, Danny Woodhead

So i'm drafting first overall. Its gonna be brown, but there is a strong temptation to go with David Johnson. 10 team league so the misery of drafting 1 is tempered, but I still hate it.

10 teams

Rivers, Mariota
Antonio Brown, Robinson, Cooper, Lockett, Sharpe
L. Murray, Rawls, Gordon, Henry
Olsen
Houston, Minnesota
Crosby

I just did a 10-team non-keeper (and also have no idea how to not draft rookies and stuff...I'm all about the long play, it's so weird to think like, "ok, I should take Frank Gore or Larry Fitzgerald now..."

Brees
Jeffrey
Cooks
J.Brown
Zeke
Hyde
Barry Garbage
Kickers don't matter
Minnesota
---
J.Langford
S.Ware
S.Diggs
J.Gordon <3
K.White
T.Eifert

Fact: six kickers went before Frank Gore

pls go

Sometimes it's tough to account for playing against a league where half the people don't know what they're doing because they reach and take players at seemingly random...and it can kind of **** with you...

Like Eli Manning went a whole round (4th) before Ben Roethlisberger, five defenses off the board by round 8, four kickers gone by 10.1...

I don't know...probably not my finest work, as I am generally bad at non-keepers I think and I was watching Ole Miss/FSU which is way more exciting...but I have the most projected points for week 1, so I guess the Yahoo thing likes it...

In that draft i did, the same guy took gostkowski and pats dst before anyone else took a defense. I was stunned. The next dst off the board was steelers...then a couple rounds later the broncos went at the correct time.

Haha yeah, I just don't know sometimes. I lost in the championship game last year (I think I lost my top 3 RBs to injury, if memory serves) in this same league and I did get zapped by the guy that won last year (who is smart) drafting immediately ahead of me in odd rounds. He got me like 4 times I think. But the rest of it was just weird...

I just got an e-mail with my "report card" and apparently I had the second worst draft in the whole league...darn...

Had my auction draft in my salary cap/dynasty(ish) league last night. We have $1000 budget and the auction draft consists of those players whose contracts expired. We have a separate rookie only draft.

Looking at how the auction looked, I determined I would do most of my shopping before the draft by acquiring guys to fill my roster. My prediction was fairly accurate and other than a few bargains I might have had if I was more aggressive early, I wasn't able to add crap in the auction. Good thing I love my starting lineup (3 WR + flex) and most of my byes are in the same two weeks.

Rodgers/Stafford
Miller/Hill/Gio/Lewis/White/Hightower/Ellington
AJ Green/Robinson/Watkins/Moncrief/Eli Rogers/JJ Nelson
Gates
Bailey
Oakland

Practice Squad: Kevin White/Will Fuller/Mike Thomas/Charone Peake/Jerrell Adams/Blake Bell/Mike Davis/Bishop Sankey

@mikey I made sure to snag Donte Moncrief in all 3 of my drafts, is the hype train on this guy legit?

Yeah, he's our best red zone threat probably. Hilton and Hilton Jr. (Dorsett) are good for big plays, but Moncrief plays it the right way and he's a worthy starter in all formats I predict...

Yes I'm hoping he is as advertised and Jeffrey stays healthy, my WR core (Hopkins/Jeffrey/Moncrief) could really make up for my starting RBs that I'm not entirely sold on (J Stewart/Rawls)

Half point PPR, pick 2:

Duke Johnson Junior
Melvin Gordon
T.J. Yeldon
Allen Hurns
Sterling Shepard

One must be an RB to replace the injured Jamaal Charles

Bleh, not Yeldon...I like Shephard and not too sure about Hurns...maybe Shephard and Gordon...that's the most pure talent you could put out in that group...
