It was a while ago, but when I did my research on the two there were a lot more complaints about payouts from 5dimes, which is what pushed me to Bovado in the first place. They might have improved since then, though.

Bovada is the standard in my opinion...I haven't heard a ton of negatives about 5dimes, but I don't think it is the same level as Bovada...

Whatever site I currently use for my casino needs is not a strong sportsbook...for some reason I just can't think of it right now..

Surely we can create some sort of referral pyramid here if we have enough degenerate gamblers...

With FanDuel, is there a way to play just the afternoon games, and then just the evening games? All I'm finding are slates that start at that time, but they include all the games after that start time. Trying to find something like Craig and skullman were talking about.

With draftkings there are no 1 oclock only games yet...those ones usually come out closer to sunday. I would guess its the same with fanduel. More options later in the week.

Yeah, the Primetime (SNF/MNF) slate came open today I think. I'll check back on Friday. Thanks.

DraftKings and fantasypros have some sort of deal where if you deposit $10 you can get the paid fantasy pros stuff for free, so that won the coin flip for me

also for the record, premium fantasy pros is kind of cool (especially for free)

right now I'm looking at week 1 rankings and my players are in blue, taken players are in gray and available players are in white. I can see who of the free agents is worth picking up if I need a sub

just entered in three games (entered the third accidentally...oh well) and ****, the whole thing is a little overwhelming.

Idk, I picked players so I should be good...

one $1 league ($500 payout) and 2 $3 leagues (million dollar payout)

I found it funny that they had players for selection that are either confirmed out for week 1 or are confirmed out for the entire season (Nelson, Benjamin, etc.). I wonder how many imbeciles chose them

Thats why i dont do games that include thursday. I prefer doing 1pm only games and picking around 12:45. Let that roster lock and dont dwell on it. I am really good at second guessing.

NYT takes a stab at DFS: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/17/sport ... games.html

Some interesting tidbits:
two powerful N.F.L. owners — Jerry Jones of the Cowboys and Robert K. Kraft of the New England Patriots — have stakes in DraftKings.
Most of the daily fantasy money has come from an enormous amount of investment by some of the biggest hedge funds and media companies, including some that broadcast N.F.L. games. FanDuel, the market leader, has raised hundreds of millions of dollars from investors like Comcast, NBC and KKR. DraftKings has tapped similar amounts from Fox Sports and several investment funds.
Neither FanDuel nor DraftKings has made a profit but media companies envision a day when sports betting is legal nationally and they can provide its online home.
So they're running at cost to expand the user base in the hopes that online gambling is legalized and people will just do it there because they're familiar with the interface? Interesting.

I buy things from Amazon, rather than _______ because I already have an Amazon account and don't want to fool with setting up others.

Oh, I agree. But they have to be working on a way to make money with the current model, right? Lets not all hold our breath while we wait for the national legalization of sports betting.

They're also in growth mode, so it should be impressive that they're able to break even at all. The massive advertising campaign has to have made them a ton of money.

I buy from amazon because they have outstanding customer service that is virtually unparalleled. I have no problem moving around though. I guess im in the minority.

So anyone with a lot of fantasy hockey experience on these sites wanna give a review? I'm pretty tempted to try it out when the season starts.

Picked a good team this week, my first this season.

Stacked Fitzgerald with Palmer, and also have Torrey Smith and Deangelo. I am five points behind in a 250 winner take all with more minutes left than anyone.

I went:
Brees
Forte
AP
Fitz
Garcon
K.Wright
M.Bennett
K: who cares
Carolina

Fitz was a money play...surprised Wright wasn't a target monster today in a game that they were trailing in all day...and then Brees blew it all together...oh well, seemed like a diesel team...

In a three way tie right now for first, all within 2 points. One guy is done, another has the Ravens and Sproles. I've got Williams and Matthews. I think i've got this.
