BEER

Troegs had a thing at a local bar. Had samples of Solid Sender and Nimble Giant (both of which I've had before, and both are pretty good), but they also brought a couple scratch beers to sell at the bar. One was a white ale with orange and coriander. It was really good. Much drier than I thought it ...

Job and General Employment Thread

A local company contacted me to set up a phone interview. When I e-mailed back with available times, the guy said: The previous e-mail was a bit of a form-email that I sent to a couple candidates. But since you are so close, would you like to stop out for a brief visit on Monday afternoon? Not for a...

Yes, no, no, no, because it's against the law to take it into most bars, a Penguins game and on my work's property, and I'm a law-abiding citizen.

Well, he has a point. If you would have mentioned open carrying in a gay nightclub (or even concealed carrying) two months ago, you'd be laughed at with a snide remark along the lines of "What, you expect them to blast you with techno to death?". I don't open carry, or conceal carry for that matter...

Did something change in the rules of soccer that you don't have to kick the ball forward from the kickoff?
Yeah, apparently they did change that starting this summer.
Okay, just making sure I wasn't taking crazy pills. I always thought it was a stupid rule anyways.

Yes, you have a gun. No, Obama isn't going to take it. What a pathetic life you must have to feel the need to carry a gun to (citing PFiDC's post) an ice cream shop. Yes, because there's no possible way anything bad could ever happen at an ice-cream shop. I guess every ice-cream shop in this countr...

I think France will win today.

With Germany's losing several starters to Yellow Card suspension and injury plus the home field advantage ala 1998 too much going for France.
Last time Germany played a host country in the semis of a major tournament, it worked out pretty well for them ;)

Sometimes I put ketchup. Sometimes I put mustard. Sometimes sriracha. All are welcome.

Except for pickles.
Does relish count as pickles?

I'm not sure who the movie is made for. The trailers are dull, and it just doesn't look funny at all.
Agreed. It doesn't interest me at all, so I'm assuming it wasn't made for me.

Of course that all comes back to money and time. Who is paying for the extra manpower (excuse the gendered language, triggering as it may be) to watch hours and hours of police gopro footage? Let's take some of that obscene defense spending and work to make our internal affairs in this country a li...
