CBJ up 4-2 on Chicago. Just scored a shorty.

Yup. Still at the corner of Babcock and Thompson Run (or the one in Wexford next to Shults Ford)

This would be why I wouldn't post the link to here on there. In recent weeks, even before the pruning machine was set on "autokill", I was thinking that maybe a new board or an invite-only section on LGP would surface to get away from the "loser crew"...interesting that it has grown so quickly...

Yup, because the crux of the issue (money) still remains. The only way I can even think of it being feasible to get a "regular" person onto a ballot is if they latched on to a party and got money that way, but then you run into the problem of needing to more or less follow that party's views to get ...

Go back and read PR today. 95% of the posters still posting there are probably of the ilk.what is an ilk squad?
AKA the people who only show up during/after a loss to sit there and complain, but never are around when the team is playing well.

Be a GM: Edmonton Oilers Edition
Not sure if you want specific moves or not, so I'm just going to go general for now, and also not really cover a lot since I'm just spitballing at this point. My first move would be to move Yakupov for a defenseman who could use a change of scenery, but fill into the lineup nicely. He hasn't really ...

I have GTA 5 and XBone, but haven't played it in a while. Destiny is and has been taking up a lot of my gaming time. Starting to get a little repetitive, but it's the first time in a long time that I've been able to play a game online with friends of mine that isn't CoD or Halo.

I'd say the problem RE:rich people in congress begins and ends with what it takes to get on a ballot and build a support group. You have to consider advertisements, payments to get yourself on the ballot (not sure if this is still a thing, but I recall it being so from a 10th grade US Govt. class), ...

We couldn't field a complete team because we had 3 players making something like $17 mil in cap space (off the top of my head, Hornqvist is at $3.5, Ehrhoff $4, Malkin $9.5. Could be off) unable to play because of injury, but also unable to be put on LTIR. There's almost nothing Botterill or any GM...

the injury thing isn't an excuse because we were the most injured team last year and almost lead the conference in points Isn't the typical "excuse" for always being at the top of the conference because we have Malkin or Crosby on our team? Sure, having at least one of them will win you games more ...

I like Spaling's game, and am not too concerned with his cap hit. We didn't have Winnik to start the year, so I'm not sure the relevance there. Spaling is good because he can move up and down the lineup, if needed, and not look entirely out of place. He's a solid two-way player who can contribute o...

If my post in the injury thread is any indication, the injuries do play a part (how big is up for debate) in how a team will perform. Sparknotes: The 3 teams that have won a Cup in the last 4/5 years (Chicago, LA x2, Boston) have been 27th, 29th, and 30th in that timeframe in terms of man-games lost...

How can you fault the coach when he continually calls out his team for lack of effort. He cant even change the lineup because we have zero cap space. This isnt Johnson's fault IMO, the front office really messed this up. I'd say it was more of the last front office that really messed this up. Imagi...

I think people need to be more patient with HCMJ. It's extremely hard to change a team and their mindset in less than a year. As we saw with the Capitals, they had to go through 2 more coaches after Boudreau was fired to reach the level (or come close to it) that they were around when Boudreau was s...

PR looks like it picked up, obviously due to the loss and the people who tend to come out of the woodwork after such a thing.

For the people who say "Injuries aren't an excuse": http://www.mangameslost.com/nhl-team-worse-since-2009-2010-season-2/ Least affected by man-games lost in the past 6 seasons? The LA Kings and Boston Bruins. Winners of three of the last five Stanley Cups. Chicago sits 27th in cumulative man-games l...

To be fair, he turned the puck over like 6 times trying to skate it in on his own.
