You know what really grinds my gears...
I can't remember the last time I threw up. Maybe college? 20 years ago? I've survived 2-3 vicious stomach bugs since have kids in elementary school, where my wife is knocked out of commission for 2-3 days, both kids pedialyting and spending significant time in the bathroom. Me? Very minor stomach up...

Pretty cool stuff - the Daredevil Netflix show (debuts on Friday) is the first of four Marvel series that will intertwine and come together for a miniseries at some point: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/07/arts/television/with-marvels-daredevil-netflix-looks-to-build-its-own-superteam.html?smid=tw-n...

12027 People who were born before Christianity came about and never had a chance to get baptized. Nope. Her church had a task they'd do, which was to look up deceased people's names in papers and address books and get them baptized without their knowledge. Just so they could be accepted. It was hor...

Bah, 4:10 starts are the worst. An hour earlier or later I would've been able to watch the game, but 4 is when I've got to get the kids home, homework finished, dinner and to their own baseball game(s) at 5:30. Missed the whole game.
Then today off? Weird.

Injury discussion and whatnot
One of the big bullet points on the Hornqvist acquisition was that he is durable. Never played fewer than 76 games in a full season. He'll play 64, baring any other injuries this week. #cursed

How The Pens Got Here?
Yeah, I think that's pretty close to what's going on. Our salary lineup is too top heavy with Crosby, Letang, and Malkin. If any of those three get hurt or slump, the Pens are in trouble. We need more production out of entry level contract players - like Malkin and Letang on the Cup team. But with t...

I managed to see Rent on Broadway in the Niederlander theater back in the early 2000's. Great show, not really depressing, I found it to be uplifting in a way. Shortly after that, I saw The Producers with the second cast after the first run with Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane. The one guy from Wi...

I watched about 40 minutes of the HBO Sinatra documentary. Superb. Part one is 2 hours, and part two is tonight. Essentially, it is narrated by Sinatra (at the point) and by his first wife Nancy (who is still alive). The director took a "Farewell Concert" setlist and recast it as a biography of Sina...

I believe GRRM is releasing the three stories under one cover for the first time, at some point this year. They've been scattered in other anthologies prior to this - and there have been a couple of graphic novel adaptations too.

I would really like to see a Dunk and Egg prequel series on HBO. Those are novellas, so much more concise and probably cheaper to produce.

7705 How is pitching done? I found the throbbing target area so disorienting that I could only pitch for like an inning or two before my head would hurt. The pitching is still a throbbing target thing. I don't find it irritating yet. Won my first exhibition game (only 3 innings). Pirates vs. Braves...

Flash was great last night.
Mark Hamill finally got to say "I'm your FATHER!!!"
Great show. From the teaser afterwards, looks like we'll have an extended Arrow/Flash/Atom crossover/spinoff launch.

I got to play about 30 minutes of The Show last night. My kids, home on Spring Break, played off and on all day. Turds.
I did some batting practice and pitching practice, and found the controls to make more sense than I thought they would. What a beautiful game, too.

Wow, going clear was very well done. Scary. I had no idea Naz Bonaidi (from Homeland) was ever involved with Cruise. Scary what they made her do when she was "dumped" by Cruise.
