A recently added #3 to the cycle, as my fiance and I now read a book out loud to each other. It usually takes a little to get through them, but it's a really engaging and fun thing to do with your significant other. :thumb: Indeed. She loves doing accents, so True Grit was the ideal book to do this...

My standard is to have two books going at once. I keep a non fiction book at my office that I take outside to read during lunch, then have a fiction book I read at home. Sounds about right. I don't think he's capable of handling the complexities of life beyond the perspective of an immature teenage male.

How long do you need to be in possession of the money before you don't have to prove anything? After my mom inherited my uncles estate in 2012, she gave 10K to me and my sister. I started an investment account that's up to $24K now and plan on using that for the down payment when I buy. What kind o...

Would not be surprised to see a McGovern or Goldwater-esque candidate come out of the woodwork in either party. Both of those guys are great examples of why the system sucks, and is basically built to keep out genuine candidates. The Republican establishment ran Goldwater, who got trounced. So they...

It's pretty impressive how badly the Red Sox botched the trade deadline last year. They turned Lackey into Allen Craig and Joe Kelly. Both look like they'll be off the 40 man roster soon. They have Porcello to show for Lester. That could still be ok, but it's looking terrible right now. Considering ...

Hope we can win a title with Cole before he's pitching in the AL East or the west coast. The last 2 TJ surgeries put a damper on this but I'm still salivating over our future staff of Cole-Glasnow-Taillon-Kingham-??? Glasnow, Taillon and Kingham all injured right now is a little frustrating. Especi...

Hanson named International League player of the month. First such honor since Zach Duke in 2005. 362/403/595 10bb 15k in 28g Does he profile as a leadoff hitter? Also seems like he's shaken off those defensive gaffes. I wonder if he might get another shot at shortstop. Either way, it's quite a luxu...

Watched the condensed game this morning....my impression is that they need to clean up the defense. The Pirates kicked the ball around costing them two runs and the Giants made exceptional defensive plays that saved probably three runs. Great that McCutchen is back to being a lineup pillar. I wonder...

I think i'd go with the more expensive one. It looks like the paperwhite has the glare free background and better lighting for dark places.

Also, the original kindle had gameboy level technology...I'd probably get a little impatient with it at times.

The original kindle is the only one that you'd be able to use outside.

I imagine it much to be like Clevelander when it comes to hockey. Most I know don't care or are actually Pens fans. I imagine with Columbus, many are making the switch, but really when it comes to NBA, I don't see much hate from this community for the Cavs. The Browns are too insignificant to care ...

There are always going to be people that aren't capable of "applying" themselves. What an interesting choice of words. Don't forget about Jacoby. I view Jacoby in the same light that I do Allie. What he did in WV was great, but he was older than the competition and a high strike out rate in the low minors is very alarming. He clearly has major holes in his swing that only get more exploited by the more experienced ...
