I know BigMck mentioned he had ragdoll cats. I would love to get one of those or a main coone. Anyone have experience with either? When I was back in high school or so, my family had a cat that was at least partially if not totally Maine Coon. He had all of the usual characteristics. He was a grey ...

That's called a henka (変化) -- a sidestep at the initial charge. It's not technically illegal, but its considered poor-quality sumo and unworthy of higher-ranked wrestlers.

Seems like a good round and I'm glad it's getting another chance. As for revolvers, I'm interested in the re-release of the S&W 66 I think the demand is there. If you go on Gunbroker and search for .32 revolvers, you'll see them selling for prices well over what they cost when new. I think S&W in p...

Tell you what; you go create a new image file format, and you can call it whatever you want. how about I just use his format and call it by the proper pronunciation...GIF? :pop: You're the kind of guy who pronounces Porsche with one sy...

Why are there images in this thread? Because it's pronounced "jif," not "gif."

Does it include the business operator getting over $50,000 in donations from like-minded supporters? So it is Ok that they are being harassed and threatened because they received unsolicited donations? No, I absolutely do not agree with that, and I said as much yesterday. But it would a bit naive t...

Pillars of Eternity is fun but tough. I'm playing on the regular difficulty level, and I still get my butt kicked on a regular basis. This isn't a tactical RPG with a grid for combat, but you really need to pay attention to character positioning anyway. For example, wizards get absolutely shellacked...

The front end is too busy but will probably be toned down for production. As a hatchback lover, I'm glad to see that Honda is bringing back the hatchback versions. Honda's Fit hatchback sells very well, and they're probably also being driven by the fact that across the hall at the NY Auto Show Toyot...

Ruger has reintroduced the SP101 in .327 Federal Magnum (http://ruger.com/products/sp101/specSheets/5773.html), this time with a longer barrel and adjustable sights. The .327 can also be loaded with the .32 H&R Magnum, the .32 S&W Long, and the .32 S&W Short. I really want one of these. I think this...

I swear that Libertarians go too far with the whole "individual rights" thing. So Shyster, you'd be OK with FOR WHITES ONLY fountains some private company puts up in parks then. If the park is privately owned and is private property, then yes. Or at least I do not believe that such a thing should b...

Only to the extent it affects private individuals and private business (I think those parts are Title II and Title VII). The whole "public accommodations" part is based on the post-New Deal expansive view of the Commerce Clause, which I believe is fundamentally contrary to the 9th and 10th Amendment...

I understand you're not racist... I'm just trying to see which groups you are okay with a business saying "yeah, we don't serve your kind" and which groups you are not. I am okay with refusing any and all groups for any reason whatsoever. And I just want to be 100% clear here, you are fine with a b...

So let me get this straight. You enjoy shooting squirrels and whatever other rodent things you dislike with a bb gun or machine gun you have in your arms that day. But you won't shoot arrows at video game bad guys.
The title of the game is Thief, not Serial Killer. :P

For Libertarians, There Is Only One Fundamental Right http://reason.com/archives/2015/03/29/how-many-rights The libertarian position is that any claim of an entitlement to be served by another person (e.g. cook me food, bake me a cake, take my pictures) necessarily violates the non-aggression princi...

GermanWings Flight 9525 Air Crash in France

I think it is safe to say GermanWings will no longer exist in about 6 months.
Maybe. It's a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa, so I doubt the company is going anywhere. They might change the name. That would be fairly easy to do.
