Job and General Employment Thread

There has been a lot of talk lately of under-performing on revenue, reforecasting, blahblahblah... Basically all the usual talk that happens before sweeping changes are made to an organization. At this point I'm just hoping to get through the summer before anything happens. Aaaand we just got an in...

Because I felt like spending money today and the upgrades weren't awful I upgraded out flights both going to and coming back from Jamaica to First Class/Business Class. I think I have everything else taken care of. C5 forms are done, our passports are good, got transportation arranged to and from th...

If they offered true 4k (or even upscaled) I'd be more interested at least for the Pens. No interest in Pirate games. If not...then I'll stick with ESPN+ and VPN setup.

The insulation we had blown in the attic seems to be helping. Still comfortable in the house we shall see how it goes tonight and tomorrow.

No problem turning the ac on but right now windows are open and it’s really comfort.

Changed the filter in the furnace and the humidifier so it’s ready to go.

I didn't. Turned it on with 10 minutes left in the third and gave up at the intermission before 2OT. What a waste of an afternoon.
I didn’t turn the game on till OT.

Yes storage can be annoying....I've been on the lookout for one of those old wooden VHS things with the doors that swing open...haven't found one yet though. For right now all of my vhs just sit haphazardly on a shelf. I'm up to about 40 or so at the moment. I'll keep you mind when I have to sell a...

I only have a handful of dvd's left..mostly stuff that was never released on blu ray or 4k. I probably have more VHS than I do DVD at this point. I have a pretty expansive BR and 4k collection though...every time something gets upgraded or gets a special edition I have to buy it. I have like 4 versi...

Yeah I don't think many movies were made in widescreen till the very end, but most people back in the VHS days didn't care about that they were just happy to be able to watch a movie at home, or they would complain about black bars. I ran into alot of that at Giant Eagle video even with DVD's. Lots ...

I'm the guy who still buys VHS tapes when I see them going for like a buck and its a movie I like. Don't get me wrong I love my 4k tv and that whole experience when movies get remastered or what not, but watching 80's and 90's movies on VHS on a CRT just feels right to me sometimes. Much like video ...

I've watched Terminator and T2 back to back this morning while working (on VHS on a CRT no less), and man are those two movies still really really good. They have a dynamic much like Alien/Aliens to me where the first one is much less action reliant and a bit darker, and the second really ups the ac...

I can't stand people that start meetings early. 9:25 or 9:28 for a 9:30...and then when you pop on at 9:30 and they're talking about whether you're going to join or not...die in a tire fire on two counts you ****** crumbs...

Yes but how did it smell?
on the inside...like 35 year old pressed wood haha. In all seriousness it didn't really smell like anything. Wherever it was kept it was kept in a climate controlled area for the most part at least recently.

The 49ers first round picks continue to make no sense and be head scratchers. They always pick better later in the draft, but it would be nice to hit on a first rounder not named Bosa after not having one for several years cause of Lance.

When I was a kid it was filled with Nintendo powers, controllers and wrestling figures pretty much. I don't have as many nintendo powers, but I have a bunch of spare controllers (like probably 15 or so from various systems laying around), so will probably be filled with very similar things.
