Non-Penguins NHL Games 2016-17

McDavid gets a lot of love now because NOBODY in this country knows all that much about him and he's freakin good. How many Edmonton games do you remember being on NBCSN this season? One, maybe (and I think it was against Buffalo too...who's watching that?). We're spoiled because we've watched Cros...

So Jimmy Johns robber takes the time to place an order before he decides to rob the place and then leaves without a sandwich? Meth is one hell of a drug. The most sensible thing he did by far was not eating anything from Jimmy Johns. I'd rather eat a Quiznos a homeless man was using as a hat in Jul...

Hagelin should swap over to the left in that scenario. Have Sheary play the right side...he can't be any worse at managing the puck anyway... I would strongly consider giving Sheary a seat for the next game. As good as he was during the season, he was playing some panicky hockey and they can't have...

Wow....the Quacks threw the kitchen sink at Talbot over the final 2 periods and he got almost all of them. The Oilers steal both road wins and look good going home.... let's hope the Pens can be like the Oilers later this evening. Well the Oilers were like the Pens from Thursday, so it's only fair ...

As for the powerplay, he sometimes is actually really bad. He had among the most Power Play points per game last season for defensemen. If you think that's "actually really bad" then I'm not sure what you consider good Did you miss the word I prefaced that statement with? You didn't retype it in qu...

letang isn't a good PP QB and can't stay healthy. thus ends the list of flaws in his game. ...and he's not even bad on the PP. he just can't run it. I can list a few more. Even if you think he's good defensively, he entirely lacks composer and it's extremely easy to get under his skin. He's also on...

re: Pouliot being Letang junior...I think that's really unfair to Letang. Tanger has become a amazing two way defenseman over the last few years. I don't think anyone expects Pouliot to become the defensive defenseman that Letang has turned into. I actually think Letang has gotten considerable wors...

I just realized that Scuderi will be 37 in December.

I do not blame him for no longer being effective at that age. I do not blame him at.

Yohe put up a bunch of Rutherford quotes. On Sprong’s rapid development: “Anytime a guy comes out of his draft year and does something like this – it’s like Olli Maatta, almost – that’s exceptional. He’s played very well.” I wish people would stop say this about Maatta. He went back to London for a...

https://twitter.com/emptynetters/status/650345782210621440 Pouliot, Dea, Rust to WB/S. Gonchar released. Deserves it, looked pretty good, and I get him and Wilson mixed up because of how uninteresting they both are. Great call on letting Gonch go. It certainly wasn't a bad idea to have him around D...

Sprong at the very least will get the 9-game tryout. He's still rough around the edges, but he's done everything to deserve it. Unlike a number of guys who were thought to have a good shot at making the team. Like Crosby? I think he'll still make it but he really needs work on the defensive aspects...

Apparently Perron was hurt...*at the end of last season*

Meh. He's 27, a perennial 20-goal scorer, isn't afraid to get dirty, and is the best LW on the team. Let's use him like that and it'll be worth it.
Nah, 4th line RW. Bench him when he does produce. :slug: MJ :slug:

Looks like he was benched/hurt for game 3. They're priming him for his time in the big league.

Meow's Morning Meeting - 4-17-15 vs. NYR - GAME 1

It's tough to win playoff games with 2.5 NHL defensemen. And sooooo many generic, passenger forwards. I won't even make a list since everyone outside of Hornqvist has fit that bill at some point recently. Special shutout to Mike Spalding though, since he goes above and beyond to be forgettable. Not...

Go Wild.

Zucker burned Michalek and they just out skated Hitchcock's trap. Nice PP blaster by Dumbass, too.

I'm on the Finnesota Bandwagon. Maybe not bandwagon since I always like them, but totally pumped that they pulled it together and might do some damage.

^ Awesome. I probably had that in my subconscious. That image fits perfectly too with the height difference and Bernie/Kunitz's giant head.
