2017-2018 Penn State Football thread
The defense is amazing this year so that’s a huge plus. The offense is...pretty good. It won’t be an issue against most teams, but they will need to step it up a few notches to beat Michigan and Ohio State. Edit: To add on to that, I’m having way more fun watching PSU on the defensive side of the ba...

Yeah I’m sure Trump, who is afraid to confront anybody in his White House directly, would call Michael Bennett a dodint to his face.
NFL
Oh my god the TNF game this week is Rams at 49ers. I guess if it's gonna suck either way you might as well put your worst game there.

I'm sure he's criticizing ESPN because he doesn't like their programming and not because one of their personalities called him a name on Twitter a couple days ago.

Pitt v. Penn State - GDT - Game 2 - September 9, 2017
45-27. McSorley and Barkley will take turns shredding the Pitt defense. I'm assuming Pitt's offense has to be better than whatever the hell I watched them do in the 4th quarter last week.

I'll say 45-13. Hopefully PSU has the game comfortably in hand early in the second half so Stevens, Sanders, Robinson, and the young guns on defense get a good number of reps.

The crazy part is that going north of the wall to kidnap a wight from the army of the dead and bring it south of the wall is arguably more reasonable than the second half of the plan.

Yeah the capture a wight plan is indefensibly stupid. That was their biggest decision of the season and it was a bad one. I assume something significant is going to happen at the meeting next week that was their ultimate endgame, but again, find a better way to do it. My comment was more in general ...

I get a lot of the complaints about the season as there have been more holes than usual, but GRRM really left D&D between a rock and a hard place. They signed up to adapt his novels to television and did a masterful job of it. Now they're left doing original screenwriting for a story they didn't cre...

With the Night King's arm you figure he would have thrown a few javelins at the group while they were huddling on the island. He must have really wanted a dragon. Also Rhaegal (?) is a total coward. I was really hoping he'd come back for Jon but he peaced the **** out of there as soon as his bro wen...

Yeah if the ball's in play I'm not taking or giving someone a stroke just for getting unlucky in the rough. Especially when it's wet or in the fall, no one wants to be the person holding up play because their ball plugged or is under one of a hundred leaves. Pros would be losing balls left and right...

I liked the episode too. The "bring Cersei a wight and pretend like she's not gonna try to murder us all" plan is still bat**** crazy so that dampens it a bit, but on its own last night was really fun.

Shockingly enough, the violence at the two protests seems like another A=B situation. At one protest, a handful of people in a group of 40,000 pushed cops and threw bottles of urine while the other 39,500+ protested peacefully and even chanted for the cops. Obviously bad. But at another protest, a m...

Seems like a solid deal, it locks him up long term and the buyout is only $2 million if he flames out. It's a ton of money but I also don't really care how much the big donors want to spend on a football coach.
