Making It Interesting (Sports Betting Thread)
I was talking to a buddy at work today about the round robin stuff. I guess it’s nice insurance and a nice bonus on parlays? But are you always using the round robin when your parlay? You got it exactly. It's expensive insurance or a big fat bonus. But I do usually have a very low bet RR and it's u...

The stuff from this year, before Porter, was pretty players just betting, and not so much a “scandal” right? Porter went beyond that and was betting on his own games and doing things like leaving the game early to impact bets. I think if a star player did something like that they would also be banne...

I think so. You just can’t have a betting scandal in your sport, with as much money as these leagues have tied into gambling. If Porter was an NBA star as opposed to a bench player would he have been banned?

Yeah, I’ve looked a little at that, along with team to win first five, looking at guys to not get hits, or parlay a not get a hit with a get a hit. My most success so far is first five innings. I used to love fantasy baseball and baseball stats in general, so this kinda scratches that itch.

On another note, anyone ever bet much baseball? Seems like all the stats lend itself to good opportunities, but guess the book knows how to use that info the best.

This is like a psa video for requiring responsible gun ownership classes.

I think I’ve read that one option would be to still have the ump relay the call. But also think you could just set up a simple ball/strike scoreboard behind the plate.
MLB
I feel like it would be quicker and more unnoticeable than an ump.

Do the other factors of discovering violent messages and being recommended for immediate counseling go into the proximate causation part? I don’t think you would loan a gun to someone if they showed you a drawing like the one Crumbley did and told you they’ve been told to seek counseling.

Yeah, I thought the ESPN NIL angle was a good idea. She would stay more famous playing another year in college; in the wnba I think she’ll be one of the great players, but that doesn’t mean anything to most people.

The fact that he wasn’t immediately just doing a drop step with his right foot and going to his left the way Clingan was playing him was shocking. It was like he was forcing it to the right to set up the drop step move, which he used later… but there’s no need to set it up when it’s already there fo...

Clark is pretty good, lol. Still think SC is gonna be too much for them, especially Cardoso, but if Clark doesn’t tire out this could be a fun game.

It looked like a pretty clear foul to me, but I didn’t get to see the whole game. Like OP said, the way they’d called the game up to that point would be relevant.

I flew into Syracuse and just had it Saturday. It was good, but go at least one step hotter than you think. I went medium and it was fairly tame. The chicken is crispy and juicy. They have crinkle fries, which I usually don’t like, but these were on the thin side and crispy, so I liked them.

Taking an aerial photo without request.........???? Insurance companies have been using tools like Google Earth for 10+ years. To me, that's not really shady. Sound? Useful? Effective? I question all of those aspects of the practice. But it isn't shady. Yes, using something that isn’t sound, useful...

I guess it's not really an inspection, but taking an aerial photo without request or notification and using that as means to press a customer to get a new roof seems very shady.

Our neighbors got a message from their insurance company that they have x months (don’t recall how many) to replace their roof or they’d either be dropped or their price would go up. The reason for the note was due to damage being seen on the roof from an aerial photo. They just had their roof repl...

Burns is fun to watch. He bullies his way in there but has sweet finishing touch. It's not like he's just barreling his way to the rim He has a sweet finishing touch but he most definitely does just barrel his way to the rim imo. He commits an offensive foul almost every time he touches the ball Ho...

Yeah, recruiting has completely changed. First you have to re-recruit your own players to stay. Then you recruit portal players. Then jucos and high school. I don’t think it’s ever been harder for high school players to get offers unless you’re one of the top prospects.
