I don't really know who's to blame and it doesn't really matter to me. I've had plenty of carriers in my life, and the only one that consistently had these issues was DirecTV.
ABC WTAE in Pgh is out too even though they are not owned by Disney (Hearst owns them).

I was looking at Youtube TV. If it had SNP it'd be a no brainer. I assume you get NFL coverage through the local channels? Is there only one ESPN? ESPN+ does not give you access to ESPN network programming, because of course it doesn't. Nevermind I looked it up and it does include ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPNews. I would need to get the Sports Plus add on with RedZone because my wife can't live without the Tennis Channel.
YoutubeTV would be a no-go for me. no NHL Network. Fubo isn't great because not TNT/TBS. Sling may be a possibility.....

I buy Sunday ticket because I need 49er games, but all the normal local games (IE Steeler games etc) are broadcast as normal. Not having SNP does suck, but I have espn +, so I can use a vpn to put me outside of Pittsburgh and watch Pens games that way easily if I want to.

Pens have their streaming service starting this season, too.

I don't believe there are any NHL Network exclusive games this season for the Pens (assuming you're local). Unless you're a big On The Fly fan...

It might end up being cheaper and more convenient to keep Fios and use the network apps.

Yeah but $18/month ain't gonna happen. ESPN+ is something like $10/month.

But that $18/month also gets you the Pirates and whatever else they show on SNP :pop:

That's true. How else will I watch Dan Potash interview Drew O'Connor while eating Juniper Grill on Inside Penguins Hockey?

That's the only pay service I have left as I, win or lose, enjoy watching the Pirates too.

I'll have to sail the high seas to see the Steelers as I can't get local stations over the air.

Verizon is running a $79 ($84 after tax) deal on Peacock Premium and Netflix Premium for a year. Scooped that one up.

Last Christmas, we bought my parents one of those video to digital converters so that they could convert all of their VHS tapes to digital MP4s. Well, I'm doing that for them now. First tape went smoothly - just connect the device to the a/v output of the VCR, hit play on the VCR and record on the device, and let the tape play normally. Second tape finished in about 140 minutes. I copy the MP4, and it's corrupt. Long story short, I've found that I need to format the USB drive on my PC before every single recording session. Wish I didn't waste so much time figuring that out, but I guess it works.

At least Davinci Resolve makes short work of the editing/clipping.

Make sure you add titles. I find that sans serif works best in either bright yellow or neon green. Better put a nice black stroke on it as well. Pro tip: cross dissolves make cuts flow smoothly and edits disappear. And if you're feeling really fancy: star wipes.

lol, I thought about it, but I’m just slicing the tapes into clips and naming them appropriately.

Honestly one thing that might be worth doing is some quick color correction, especially since you're using Resolve.

Not yet, but I’m only 4 tapes in, so there’s still hope.

I'd have liked NHL Network, but I can't have everything and that's down the list after getting all the NHL, NFL, College Football and College Basketball games, the local stations and TCM so it's left out. I get NHL Radio on SXM which is good enough for me.

With that Verizon deal for Peacock and Netflix, which were both included with Comcast I'm down $40 from what I used to pay Comcast for internet and cable, and that's with Sunday Ticket. Once the ST payments are done, I'll be down $120 a month. $90 when the internet and YTTV promos expire  **** Comcast.

Where do you find this? I have Verizon and was looking at changing my plan today, but didn’t see this as an option.

The +play thing might depend on your plan. I have 5G Unlimited with Play More which comes with the Disney Bundle already. Most of their offers are lame but the Peacock/Nexflix one is pretty good.

It says only applies to new subscribers of Peacock but I subscribed to both already and got the price. Maybe because my Peacock canceled when I terminated Comcast and was inactive?

Welp, I finished rendering the last video. Got about 32GB of clips (66ish), but unfortunately the People’s Court episode was not ok any of these. It’s a shame that I can’t find a synopsis for that episode because it’s so old.
