Even if the link was working, the video is blocked in the US due to copyright issues.

It hasn't worked for me when I copy the "Share" link from youtube but does work if I copy the URL from the browser.

By the way, you have to get rid of all the nonsense at the end of the link. In this case, it was &ab_channel=TimPierpont

Unexpected new Mates of State music for the first time in 9 years gives me the warm and fuzzies. Also, the only YouTube video I could find is this weird AI lyrics video.

Not sure if you already knew @NTP66
Heavy metal band Metallica is coming to Pennsylvania in 2025, and tickets are on sale next week.

According to LiveNation, Metallica is set to perform at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on May 23 and 25 of next year. Metallica recently announced they would extend their M72 World Tour into a third year, with each of their two shows in every city featuring a completely different set list and support lineup.

Metallica’s Philadelphia shows will feature opening performances by Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills to Support, LiveNation said.

I did see that, thanks. Unfortunately, I'm simply not going to risk it with my tinnitus. :(

Can I interest you in some Metallica done in the style of 1940s jazz instead?

Weird Al touring next summer. Three shows near me, but the closest to Pittsburgh is in OH and Philly. Weird.

I really like Weird Al, both as a person and as a musician, so it bums me out to say that his concert was one of the most boring concerts I've ever attended. There were really long costume changes every 2-3 songs and it just killed the flow. I'd like to see him just sing the songs without all the production around it.

We saw him at the Mann back in 2018...loved the performances but agreed could definitely cut back on the production. I'd rather see more songs

The costumes are the biggest part of his shtick.

Weird Al at the Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland on the "Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour" was probably the best concert I've ever been to. No costumes and no elaborate production. Al sat on a stool for most of the show. Although, that tour was focused on his original songs only, so none of the parodies except for a medley as part of the encore. This was the set list:

Fun Zone
CNR
Melanie
I'll Sue Ya
When I Was Your Age
Midnight Star
Christmas at Ground Zero
Good Old Days
Close but No Cigar
Craigslist
Dare to Be Stupid
Dog Eat Dog
One More Minute
Generic Blues
Skipper Dan
Nature Trail to Hell
Albuquerque
Encore:
Cinnamon Girl (Neil Young cover)
Amish Paradise / Smells Like Nirvana / White & Nerdy / Word Crimes / Yoda medley

Yeah, I was at that one too and it was a blast. it all comes down to which Al you prefer. The originals tour is fun since you get more songs and banter. The "regular" tour is fun since you get all the production value. The "strings" tour is in the middle, as you get a mix, with the music still being the focus but no wild visuals (finally seeing "Harvey the Wonder Hamster" live did not disappoint tho  )

Foo Fighters have cancelled their appearance at the Soundside Music Festival this weekend, belatedly demonstrating Dave Grohl can in fact pull out at the last minute.

This was the last show they had scheduled.
