Ohio State won the first ever 4 team playoff, hopefully the same fate awaits them after winning the first 12 team playoff.

Although it will probably expand before end of the decade.

It felt like there was no hype for this game. Wasn't sure if it was because how disappointing the playoff had been or what...

People hate Ohio State. People hate Notre Dame.

No SEC team involved, so ESPN didn't care. Also just feels like a long wait (9 days between semis and final).

Yeah, I was gonna add that fan bases are not well liked but didn't want to be inflammatory on what should be a joyous day for you haha

But yeah, I had ESPN on with NFL and NHL. Hardly a mention of the game.

A lot of factors, but definitely no hype. Monday following a busy NFL weekend doesn't help. Monday in general is dumb. Two rounds of NFL playoffs since the college semis. Etc etc etc.

There were also 2 full rounds of NFL Playoffs in between the Semis and tonight so a ton of people outside the OSU/ND fanbases probably switched off their college football batteries for the year.
