I thought it was the right move to send a couple extra guys and not let Ewers just stand back there but as soon as everyone got picked up, I was like, 'uh oh'.

Oregon and a playoff/BCS no-show is about as reliable as the sun setting in the west.

Appropriate that the Allstate 'charred duck' commercial ran right after the 24-0 touchdown.

Man. Ohio state looks unbeatable. I know anything can happen, but if they’re on their game, they’re winning the whole thing.

Or if Day and Chip don't call a scared game like they did against Michigan.

Is Jeremiah Smith the best true freshman WR ever? The only one I can think of that comes close is Larry Fitzgerald.

Not to be lost in the offense display, but Oregon has more National Championship wins than they had rushing yards yesterday.

Oregon finished the night with -23 rushing yards on 28 carries

I know it's a small sample size, but maybe the bye and the extra rest doesn't help? All of the bye teams got crushed early. Boise State found it's legs after down 14-0, ASU definitely found there's but it took a while, and Oregon was basically run out of the stadium in the first half. I know the seeding has a lot to do with that too, but it's been interesting to watch.

Sacks count against rushing yards in college. Their QB had -43.

Someone pointed out that OSU and Tennessee both waited 24 (or something close to that) days between their last games and the 1st round, and Oregon had 22 days between the CCG and 2nd round, so the time off/rust factor isn't all that much different compared to round 1.

That being said, maybe there's something to be said about playing competitive football more recently. Either way, I think teams will ultimately adjust how they prep for their games during the first round bye.

Still, they were averaging 160 rushing yards/game going into it, and put up 155 in the first match up.

Ohio State also only had 2 TFLs (no sacks) back in October. 13 TFLs and 8 sacks last night.
