That was a fun game in Happy Valley. I went, tailgated, chatted to a bunch of nice WVU fans, weather was gorgeous, had a hell of a time. Hopefully Morgantown will return the favor to traveling Nittany Lion fans.

Noon is great cuz it won’t allow those hillbillies a chance to lube up for a night game. Moonshine for breakfast it will have to be.

Other than American Stephen Nedoroscik, here are some other PSU Olympians competing in Paris to root for:

Lucky you. I peeked at Washington tickets thinking they'd be reasonable. Haha

Yeah... my in-laws are all buckeye fans. They asked my wife if, since she's a professor at Penn State, she could get them tickets.
Talk about not knowing how the system works.

Nice!
My buddy's daughter is on the Kent dance team, so I think I am taking him to his first PSU game. He is psyched that she gets to dance at Beaver Stadium.

Opening on the road at a place like WVU has me a bit nervous. Senior QB with some sauce, veteran OLine, hostile crowd. PSU with experience on both sides of the ball, but new coordinators.
Noon start probably taps down the crazy there, but should expect a tough game.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch live on Saturday. The noon start is certainly helpful from a crowd perspective as that environment for a night game is extra raucous...and toxic. From a game standpoint, the WRs will be what I'm most focused on. They were awful last year and hopefully the departure of me-first, low-talent players like KLS and Cephas has injected a fresher vibe to the position. Fleming is a bigger, older talent and Wallace is looking to break out his speed after sitting a lot of last year with injury. I'd like to think that the new OC will push more for Allar to take chances down the field and not be so afraid of mistakes. Of course, you also have all that speed with Singleton that is wasted if you don't find ways to get him into space. Defensively, they have to keep contain on the WVU QB who likes to escape the pocket and run. The transfer CBs (Harris & Kimber) looked pretty good in the Blue-White game (Harris especially) and have SEC experience. Even though there's a new DC, the talent seems to be pretty similar to last year's #1 defense vs the run. Biggest question there is how the secondary can cover and if they can generate turnovers. The game opened as PSU -12/13 which I thought was a little much. It's come down to 8 1/2 which seems about right.
