My kids were obsessed with Beyblades when they were 4-7 years old. Watched the anime shows and everything. It was kind of fun playing with them

Daughter's first term report card in middle school? Straight A's, honors, and honor roll. Gonna have to do something special for her, especially since she had a lousy morning knowing that she's getting her covid booster this afternoon.

I'm sure you can 3D print her something REAL nice. But seriously, take the wins when they come.

My 16 year old is struggling for the first time in his academic career this semester (they take 4 courses over 2 quarters, more or less like a college semester). He's in Algebra 2 Honors, Chemistry Honors, English 4 Honors, and Intro to Engineering (Dual Enrollment). He's got some time left, but this is the first time he's actually had to study for anything more than work in class. And he really doesn't know how to, which is a problem. We were up until 11 PM last night with him studying Chemistry (we normally are in bed around 9:30 at the latest, as my wife is up for work at 5).

I'm at a loss for Lil mac. This dude can't catch a break. He's been coughing all night every night this week. We do an albuterol treatment before bed and again when he inevitably comes to our room around 4am. I'm doing a Claritin in the morning to get him through school and a zyrtec at night to help the mucus. We have to wait until March to get his tonsils out. I don't know if we'll make it that long. The poor kid is clearly exhausted all the time because of lack of restful sleep.

I have a somewhat left field suggestion. Cut out dairy for a few days to see if that makes a difference

Too late. There's a 42" LG C4 in the basement with her name on it.

Walked by my daughter's room this morning as she was getting ready for school, and could hear her blasting Renegade.

Interesting, I'll give it a shot I guess. Any reason you're suggesting this, I'm only asking because he was born with a dairy allergy and we did OIT from around 1yo to 2.5yo. Allergist declared him safe. He's just constantly snotty, and the nasal drip wreaks havoc at night. Also has had 2 bouts of strep in the last month or so.

I got sinus infections like clockwork as a kid and at 28 was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disease to dairy and soy. I haven’t had a single issue since cutting those out of my diet.

Thanks all for the advice on wrestling for the kid.

Tonight is practice #4. Not only has she settled in really nicely, but there are way less kids already. You guys were all right on with your predictions.

Off to pick up the Clemson son for his Thanksgiving break in a couple of hours. 4.5 hours up, 4.5 hours back. But excited to see him, and this is the longest span he's been away from home. His friend from high school is in the bridge program over at the local (to Clemson) technical college and has a lab until 10PM Tuesday night, while my son's classes Monday and Tuesday were cancelled or made into Zoom classes. So he's done this afternoon.

My wife and younger son finish today, and my employer has no classes all of next week (although we only get Thursday and Friday off  ).

Littlest Franchise got a part that is much lower than the thinks she deserved in the High School Musical and the drama is absolutely over the top tonight. God Bless Mrs. F while I hide in the man cave. There's no way I would say the right thing right now.

ya boy had a day. 90 minutes east for a mini-meow hockey game. 90 minutes back home, but drove right past our exit for another 45 minutes to a baby meow’s ballet recital. 45 minutes home. alarm is set for 4:45 to get to the rink by 6:00 for a 6:45 game. I expect to be in a coma by about 11 am tomorrow.

Drove to NC State today to watch my younger daughter play club basketball. Also met her girlfriend for the first time. Then, while I was there, my older daughters’s boyfriend texted me and asked if I had a minute to talk. As soon as I got the text I knew what was next. I called him and sure enough he asked for my blessing to propose. They’ve been together for five years and he’s a good guy who takes good care of her. So I guess it’s okay lol and I appreciated that he asked for my blessing.
