I thought Boone should’ve been fired years ago but despite making the World Series I would be demanding he get fired now if I were a Yankees fan

It's glorious to see another team hoisting the trophy and celebrating at Yankee Stadium in front of all those asshats. It's also hilarious to me that those idiots play the Sinatra song win or lose so the Dodgers were serenaded by New York New York as they were bouncing around the infield. I hope that the Yankees and their fans suffer for another 100 years without a championship.

Free agency starts at 9 am this morning with the exclusive window for teams to re-sign '24 free agents. The league doesn't rest.

Boone has 6.5 seasons (we'll call 2020 a half season) under his belt... "Should've been fired years ago."

it's a beautiful morning for sure! I love a good Yankees collapse and this one was a doozy!Orlando Penguin wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 12:42 am It's glorious to see another team hoisting the trophy and celebrating at Yankee Stadium in front of all those asshats. Are we sure it just hasn't historically started around this time, and is only starting close to the WS because they finish in almost **** November lol

I'm not sure - that re-sign window probably starts the day after the clinching game. And yes, the season is getting ridiculously long. At least it was warm last night in the Bronx.

Yes, I thought he should’ve been fired in 2022. In their last four seasons, the Yankees:count2infinity wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 8:26 am Boone has 6.5 seasons (we'll call 2020 a half season) under his belt... "Should've been fired years ago."![]()
- lost to the Red Sox in a one game wild card
- got swept by the Astros in the ALCS
- missed the playoffs
- got beat by the Dodgers in 5
Getting to the World Series was good but tbh the AL was really weak this year. Even still they had 3 bad playoff showings or seasons in a row which, considering their payroll, is a massive disappointment imo

I wouldn’t be upset with it but it’s not a “he should be fired” because the Sox roster has been worse than the Yankees the last couple of seasons

So you’re saying a coach with a bad roster shouldn’t be held accountable for bad results?MalkinIsMyHomeboy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 9:44 am I wouldn’t be upset with it but it’s not a “he should be fired” because the Sox roster has been worse than the Yankees the last couple of seasons

IMO it’s the coaches job to ensure guys who are 10 years past their prime should play like they’re still in their prime

For as quickly as that 5-0 lead disappeared midway through the game, I thought Mike Sullivan was managing that team.faftorial wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 2:12 pmMike SullivanMrKennethTKangaroo wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 8:21 am We talkin Aaron Boone or we talkin Mike Tomlin with this “who would you hire” stuff
