Welcome to the fifth-annual 5AF Fantasy F1 league.

• The competition is open to all posters. Welcome aboard!

• You each have $40 million to spend on your team.

• You may select as many drivers as your budget allows. There is no advantage gained from not spending your entire budget.

• You are selecting by driver. If a driver switches teams, your points earned will follow that driver to the new team. If a driver is replaced or misses races due to illness or injury, you will no longer earn points for that driver.

• [RULE CHANGE] Given the potential for races to be canceled, I'm adopting the tiebreaker system that I proposed midway through last season. Ties will be broken by looking at the points earned in each race by each fantasy participant and giving the highest point earner on a given week "first place," the next highest "second place" and so on. Ties are broken by whoever has more first-place finishes, and if necessary it goes on to second place, third place, etc. If there's still a tie, I will perform a coin flip.

• [RULE CHANGE] Because we are not picking tiebreaker races, your team must be unique. Please check what lineups have already been selected by other posters.

• The points earned by your selected drivers are the same as the points earned by the F1 drivers’ championship (1st place - 25 points; 2nd -18; 3rd - 15; 4th -12; 5th - 10; 6th - 8; 7th - 6; 8th - 4; 9th - 2; 10th - 1).

In my old league we used to run in, we would take the lowest drivers and see how many you can get for $40m and call it "Team Suck." I don't think it ever finished last.

The top 4 drivers scored 909 points in 2020, the top 2 only 570. The field scored 825.

Yeah. I deleted F1 from my life this year. Off the DVR, out of my big FF league, don't read anything about it. This FF league is my only attachment to it and I entered because I knew it was small and could use a punching bag.

I'll be back when the ruleset changes, maybe.

It's been interesting how the trio of Vettel, Alonso, Riccardo is doing. The only one who has more points than his team mate is Vettel, who is only one point ahead of Stroll. Alonso is behind Ocon, and Riccardo is way behind Norris. I think Norris is probably the biggest surprise of the season.
