I haven’t read much about it. I think the warehouse workers are teamsters.
The one (and only) article I read at the beginning of it had a comment from Amazon that the strike wouldn’t impact day to day operations. But who knows.

It may have something to do with my location, as USPS delivers almost all of my Amazon and UPS handles the few larger items. But for them to be out of stock of their flagship device 10+ days out from Christmas was wild.

Also speaking of delivery efficiencies.
I went to Walmart yesterday to grab my wife a Keurig machine she's been asking for (to keep in our camper). They have their budget model there for $49, but online for pickup at store it was $32.92. So I ask for a price match and they say they can't do it. What?
So I throw it in my cart on the app and then it says "add $2.18 worth of items for free shipping". BET.
I just share a Walmart account with my wife so I made my own real quick so she didn't see it. (also why I tried to go in store, plus Lil mac wanted to get her a gift so I said that'd from him). Keurig shipped from store to my house. The pack of AAA batteries I bought from them shipped fedex to my house. If they'd have just honored the price match it would've made them a lot more money than not.

At what point are we going to improve the locking technology for single person public bathrooms? I am not a fan of the uncertainty in pushing that little button on the door handle of a Starbucks bathroom and just hoping the damn thing locks. Or the chore of having to knock before you open the door and just pray that you aren’t opening the door to view someone pinching a loaf. Why can’t there just be a mandate that all single person bathrooms have the locks that say VACANT or LOCKED on the outside?

Our new building has a lock that turns red when someone is in the single user (non gender specific) restroom.
But on the inside, it has a diagram to explain how to lock the door:

Which means someone got walked in on because the door wasn't locked. Future of America n'at

The exclamation points do tell an interesting story I’m sure
Why two unlock! positions?

If you are a normally functioning human being, dropping a dooey in public indicates said dooey is likely of a... bellicose nature. When already defeated in a self war where the winner has been predetermined by physical circumstance, the certitude of absolute privacy becomes a desideratum.
Fully functional and reliable locks in public bathrooms aren't for those cretins that take every available opportunity to release kratens in every sea they sail... they are for those of us that skip going to happy hour after work because you had chipotle for lunch and the guac was a little funky and there is a possibility of a lower GI offensive.

Amazon S&S pricing sometimes makes no sense. I have a variety pack of Sun chips on mine, which are normally like $18, but this month they're $34. Sold and delivered by Amazon, so it's not a 3rd party issue. Found them at Target for the usual $18 so I got them there instead this month.

This recipe: https://thecafesucrefarine.com/wprm_pri ... y-bread-2/
“Prep Time 15 minutes mins”
“ Instructions
In a medium-large bowl, whisk together the bread flour, salt, yeast and rosemary. Make a well in the center and add the water. Mix with a sturdy rubber spatula until all flour is incorporated. Don’t worry, the dough will be wet and sticky, that’s how it should be.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and leave to rise at room temperature overnight or for up to 12 hours.”
so is it 15 minutes prep time for long enough for the dough to rise??? hijueputas…

I just can't tell what it's supposed to be. It looks like it does so much, right up until you go to dig in on something, then it doesn't do it that well...
I'm trying to use it to hold policy documents, but I can only have them accessible based on what job you have. So I was like, "ah, I can just export an employee list with jobs and emails...power automate it to build the user permissions...should be fine."
Wrong.

Pretty sure someone within earshot of my house was shoveling snow at 3 AM last night.
My only question is - why?

Maybe they have to get up and go to work super early and they worked a super late shift yesterday...or it was the only time they had to do it?

It hasn't snowed with any accumulation since... Saturday? Friday night?

Maybe they were sick? Maybe they just didn't feel like it? I agree it's annoying, just trying to think of a legitimate reason.
