I wouldn’t call it a great pull. Finding a clownish comment from meow is like shooting fish in a barrel

You know what makes it super easy to carry a spare poncho? Cargo shorts. Plenty of pockets for spare ponchos.

People using self checkout that clearly should not be using self checkout. Boomers with full carts love using it while scanning one item per minute

Funny you should mention self-checkout. I ran into Lowe's Foods yesterday morning to grab a couple of items. 99% I go straight to the self-check aisles, but I looked over and saw a group of elderlies lined up doing their thing. I audibly grunted or groaned, and the cashier standing in front of his register laughed and said "Yeah, they might be a while," so I actually went through his line in 25 seconds or something.

I like that Target and some others have made self checkout like 12 items or less. I can check out a whole cart full of stuff quickly in self checkout, but most of the rest of the population cannot do so...so it is what it is. I still much prefer to use self check out, or scan and go (at sams club) then go through a normal checkout line at this point in my life.

Yeah I feel like for self checkout you either need to (a) have 10 or less items or (b) be really quick; ideally both. But I can’t stand people that have a cart full of **** and take their sweet **** time at the self checkout. That should be a “spend one night in jail” type situation

Absolutely. I use scan and go at my grocery store, but the amount of times I see old people with full carts scanning each item is way higher than it should be. Target doesn't even open their self-checkout until close to noon near me, which is so dumb. Thankfully, I rarely go to Target anymore.

It has been illegal to buy alcohol at a self-checkout in CA for probably a dozen years or more at this point. And yet I still see maybe one person a month get caught out. And not like 20-year olds trying to sneak a couple sixers of Modelo, it's usually people closer to my age who should bloody well know better.

Went to pickup dinner curbside tonight, and of course the takeout spots were filled with mall shoppers. Find a spot a few spots in and check in. Get a call 6-7 minutes later saying that they can’t find our car… which was odd, given that we’re facing the front door and nobody came outside. Okay, fine, they ask us to pull up to the curb. Do that and sit for another 5. Finally just get out and pick it up in the store. Nothing from them about trying to bring the food out, etc.

Honestly, if they said something like ‘hey, we’re crazy busy, would you mind just running in and picking up?’ I’d be fine. But **** like this… do better.

I've become so exhausted with YouTube ads that I will repeatedly back out of a video until I can enter cleanly.

This was me trying to get to a YouTube video tonight:
30 second ad? nope.
30 again? nope.
10 seconds? nope.
15 seconds? no again
30 seconds again? no.
5 seconds? Now I used to take this one and hit the skip when possible, but now I won't even take that one.
20 seconds? no

It took seven times of backing out before I got a clean entry into a video.

And if I get a "long ads mean less ad breaks in your video", there's a good chance I'm backing out and coming back later. Every once in awhile I'll walk away, let it do it's thing and come back after a minute or so.

Could I just get YouTube Premium and stop complaining? Yeah, probably, but that's not the point.

Are you on a non iOS phone or tablet? If so, Firefox with uBlock Origin will nuke those ads. I haven't tried it, but the Brave browser on iOS will block a lot of ads as well.

If you’re on iOS, use the Brave browser. It automatically blocks all YouTube ads. Brave is essentially my YouTube app now.

Oops. Obviously I didn’t read DG’s reply before posting. But yeah, Brave blocks all ads. I haven’t seen a single ad since I starting using it in June of last year.

Agree. While I appreciate that the automatic flusher helps prevent cretins from leaving their dook unflushed, I've been in stalls where the damn thing flushes like three times before I can even turn around and drop my pants.
