They tried to tell me my number was registered to him.

1) he died like, 4 years before cell phones became a household thing

2) As far as I'm aware I'm the original owner of this phone number, and I didn't get my own cell until 2007 or 2008, so it would have been physically impossible for the number to be issued to him.

I think mostly I'm just pissed off that they were going to try to scam him. My grandma is 92 and has lived by herself since he passed, and is starting to slow down mentally, so on the flip side I'm glad the call came to me.

God **** dammit apple stop **** changing ****

They just pushed a new update and the stocks widget changed and the majority of the real estate for the widget was given to news stories which is…incredibly annoying because the actual tickets were minimized

I can change it by Apple is unapologetic about pushing updates that significantly change ****. Of course, I can switch to Android, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's a pain for me because my phone isn't glued to my hip 24/7. So I'll be working on my laptop and need to log into a website, then have to go searching for phone to grab the code off the text msg. It's annoying. But yes, I can see how it wouldn't be a problem for most folks.

It’s a pretty small price to pay for some security. My nephew just had his PSN account stolen and that wouldn’t have happened with 2FA. My mom has had her social media accounts “hacked” on multiple occasions but still refuses to use 2FA for the same reason you hate it.

Oh I'm 100% for it and glad to have it. Doesn't mean I can't be spoiled by being annoyed by it.

MFA that isn’t a push to approve/deny can die in a fire.

My favorite is the 2FA that requires a completely different Authenticator app.

Yep, there’s always one oddball that either doesn’t use any MFA app, or is text message only (looking at you, Marcus).

PenFed, Vanguard, PNC, Fidelity all send messages. I assume it's encrypted on the iPhone.

2FA is trash.

That said, I text on my PC so it's not like it matters. Just have to swap tabs.

The biggest issue I have is logging into iCloud or Apple Music in a browser. Since I have an Android, it always sends the 2FA request to my iPad...which I rarely have on or near me. So I have go an extra step to have it text my phone. These logins tend to expire every few days, and don't carry over between iCloud and Apple Music.

So after being off for a week, I log in at work and open Firefox. iCloud calendar needs a code. Fine. 10 minutes later, in the same browser, I open Apple Music...which also needs a code. Meanwhile, all of the Google products I use in Firefox (Gmail, Calendar, Drive/Docs/Sheets, etc.) rarely ever ask for 2FA, and only after I've reset a browser's cookies/cache.

This probably makes me a terrible person but Giving Tuesday annoys me. I just got guilt tripped for Small Business Saturday, now won't you give to charity while you're making it rain over at Target and your local hostess shop?

I get it, charity needs don't stop just because I'm off buying people stuff they don't really need, but can't there be a big charity and nonprofit awareness day in May sometime when my budget's in better shape?

Like the 'would you like to round up?' question at self-checkouts. No, I would not. You, Mr. Multi Billion Dollar company can round the **** up yourselves.

I went to Whole Foods this morning to return an Amazon item, and grab a few things. I go to checkout, and it can't find my Amazon account by phone number. Okay, whatever, I can get an in-store QR code to scan. You have to dig through like 5 submenus to get to the **** thing in the Amazon app, which is absurd.

Then I leave the store and remember that my **** Prime card is in my Apple wallet.

WYEP, the local Independent radio station especially annoys me. I enjoy their programming so I give $10 a month, no big whoop. But, they're not really helping anyone or anything like the Red Cross or local Humane Society.

They call and email and want more. Uh, you're gonna have to find someone else. But don't you have another $5 a month? We'll give you a tee shirt?

Look, if you keep bugging me you're gonna get $0 a month.
