Until just now I had absolutely no clue that the Frozen 4 is here this year.

Also 3 of the four teams are from Minnesota and none of them are the Gophers.

RMU just announced that they are disbanding the NCAA Division 1 ice hockey programs.

That stinks. I have no interest in RMU but a D1 hockey program was good to have in the area.

The announcement they put out about strategic initiatives and agility is one of the biggest crocks of **** I’ve ever read. Most successful programs at the school and a revenue generator when being able to host the Final Four is brought into consideration. This’ll be the end of my support for the university.

They just reached a $100MM fundraising goal a year before their target. Guess they shouldn’t have built that new basketball arena that generates no revenue.

Events center was a $50mm grant from UPMC (which is also the only health care option offered now). The real problem is that enrollment levels suck.

I'm sure they'll be kept. They're maintaining the three men's club hockey teams and adding a women's club team. Now they just wont have to maintain NCAA standards.

Club only, not D1. They used to have a D2 ACHA team but I think they folded that.

Seems odd that a decision like this would not require full board approval.
