Damnit, we were just there last month. Obviously, highly recommended if you are in the area.

Yeah, we ran out of time for this trip. I wished we'd spent one more day in San Diego rather than LA (which was great, no notes)

Yup. Unrelated, I'm just waiting for some panda-sized luggage to arrive...

Batch three for the mourning dove nesting above my front door has left the nest, and I decided to remove the nest before momma dove could consider trying for batch four. While I try to be accommodating, I didn't sign up for a perpetual dove spawn point up there.

Saw unidentified critters in the yard the other night. It was around 4am and our dog woke me up. Looked out the bedroom window that looks down into our backyard. We have floodlights back there, but it's still tough to make things out. Was obviously a mother and 2 little ones that I thought initially were possums or racoons, but as I watched them realized they were too long and skinny.
Mentioned it to a friend that does a lot of hunting. I said something along the lines of 'they looked and walked like big ferrets' and he immediately went 'oh no'. So we may have a fisher den somewhere close by. I read up on them......and they don't look fun. Basically like little wolverines or honey badgers that will kill for fun.

Collars on cats... GTFO, unless it's an outdoor cat.
