I still say Quint's death would have the MPAA wringing their hands due to the amount of blood. PG-13 movies have blood, sure, but generally not a lot. Most are pretty bloodless, really. Look at something like Jurassic Park, which is scary but solidly in PG-13 world. It has some brutal deaths but even the ones that are shown on screen are bloodless. The worst is probably Arnold's arm, which might have a red area where it was cut from the shoulder but it's not actively bleeding. I think Jaws would be PG-13 but pushing R, especially with Quint's death kept as is.

Waltz is phenomenal in any movie, and it looks like it'll be an action comedy, which is a genre that I love. I'm in.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that 'Garth' Edwards is a typo.

I've got off all next week, and plan on watching all three LOTR films in 4k. Excited, as it really has been forever since I've seen them.

When you're finished, you're going to be tempted to watch the Hobbit trilogy. Don't do it.

Yeah I don't hate it either but everytime I watch LOTR, I'm bummed that it's over and I try to keep the party going with The Hobbit. Then I'm even more sad.

I’ll never watch it. Don’t stretch the shortest book into an obvious money grab you jerks!

The Hobbit movies are devoid of soul. They're like deepfakes of Middle-earth. The LOTR trilogy is so good that it still feels like Tolkien even in the instances they veer off the edge of the map. The Hobbits at no point hit that mark, despite coming from almost entirely the same pool of creative talent. And that manifests in them being just poor exercises in movie making.

At least you have something. As a Dark Tower fan all I have is that Idris Elba flop from 7 years ago. :face:

The constant rumors of an actual good DT series are akin to the Half Life 3 rumors the last two decades. It will never happen.

Decided to rewatch Keeping The Faith to see if it holds up, and also to wash out a bit of the sour taste that Nobody Wants This left. And it mostly does hold up! This is what I want out of the very niche genre that is religious-centric rom-coms.

I dig it. At the very least it looks a whole hell of a lot more visually appealing than the washed out garbage Snyder makes and Gunn makes good movies, so I'm optimistic. As much as I love the idea of Cavill as Superman, this looks to be moving heavily away from brooding hero to self-sacrificial hero and I'm down with it.

They showed a lot while not showing a lot in that trailer, looks like the owner of the raiders with that bad haircut is Green lantern and who is the robot Superman was holding? I'm guessing that dog is going to steal the movie

Probably Metallo. He was a tragic villain

Maybe not, he’s not listed in the credits
