5AF Fantasy F1 2018
5AF Fantasy F1 2018
Welcome to the second-annual 5AF Fantasy F1 league.
• The competition is open to all posters. Welcome aboard!
• You each have $40 million to spend on your team.
• You may select as many drivers as your budget allows. There is no advantage gained from not spending your entire budget.
• Teams do not have to be unique.
• Rule change: You are selecting by driver. If a driver switches teams, your points earned will follow that driver to the new team. If a driver is replaced, you will no longer earn points for that driver.
• Each player must choose two Grand Prix weekends. This set must be unique if you have the same driver lineup as someone else. Rule change: These two weekends will earn double points only in the event there is a tie at the end of the season. In the event the inclusion of double points still results in a tie, the tiebreaker will follow the same pattern as the F1 drivers’ championship tiebreaker, which is the number of first-place finishes earned by all your drivers, then the number of second-place finishes, and so on.
• The points earned by your selected drivers are the same as the points earned by the F1 drivers’ championship (1st place - 25 points; 2nd -18; 3rd - 15; 4th -12; 5th - 10; 6th - 8; 7th - 6; 8th - 4; 9th - 2; 10th - 1).
Reply here with your driver selections and your unique set of two race weekends by 11:59pm on Friday, March 23rd . You may edit your selections up to that time.

I see no one's "stealing" tifosi's picks this year.

The answer to your question is no, I did not learn my lesson from last year.

Damn, now I missed the deadline.
5AF Fantasy F1 2018
So I decide to focus on points rather than potential winners this year. Frst race out, 1/3 of my drivers retire because wheel guns are hard. And it was my first multiplier race.

I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT THIS WAS MY FIRST MULTIPLIER RACE AND I FINISHED IN FOURTH FRICKIN' PLACE
It would seem that I have chosen poorly.

I thought the multipliers weren't being added unless there was a tiebreak situation
5AF Fantasy F1 2018
That's what's funny about it. He's worried about being tied for first at the end.
5AF Fantasy F1 2018
Plenty of races left in the season, so it's a little early for buyer's remorse. (That said, I didn't go with the first lineup I came up with, and if I had I'd be in second place behind MR25 with 36 points.)
