Some possible good news for PSU fans living in SE PA:

https://onwardstate.com/2019/02/13/stat ... p=355692-0
When completed, it will improve both the ability to travel in and out of the State College area — essentially completing a four-lane highway all the way between the Centre Region and Harrisburg area

YES.

My Mom came to visit this weekend--she commented on all of the construction that was going on around Seven Mountains. I absolutely loathe that stretch of 322, would be wonderful to see it done.

That area is bad, but it's better than it was 20 years ago when you had to go through Reedsville and Milroy.

I worked at a camp at the foot of seven mountains and we had to take kids across 322- I don't know how nobody ever got hit.

I started going to games in the 80s and wow, those backups at the Narrows were legendary. Every time I go up there now, I still mark the spot before the Lewistown Narrows where it was backed up forEVER prior to the 1992 Miami game. Noon & 1pm starts were traffic death. Thankfully, they're finally thinking about adding that final missing link.

Yes, the completion of the four-lane portion between Lewistown and Mifflintown was a godsend.

Milroy.
a few years back I went camping/hiking on the sunday/Monday of labor day weekend at reeds gap state park. on the Monday we went for a hike fairly deep in the state forest. the hike started at the bottom of one of the ridges and eventually got to the top. about 200 yards from the top of the hill the trail more or less disappeared into overgrowth. like an idiot I decided to keep going ahead and eventually we completely lost the trail. I have no idea how long it took us to find it, but it was more than a half hour and as long as an hour and a half to find the trail. Eventually I did spot what was supposed to be the trail and we eventually made it back to the car

anyways, that was a pretty scary experience given that cell phone service was spotty, there are bears around there, and we were on top of a steep ridge. so afterwards, I was pretty content when made our way back to the car. we stopped at the arbys in Milroy on the way home, and I ordered whatever the biggest roast beef sandhwhich is called and a bigass mountain dew code red. and that my friends was the best damn arbys ive ever ate

I once decided it was a good idea to drive my 86 Escort out some of the forest roads in Miffco. Don’t know how I didn’t get stuck but somehow ended up out back of Greenwood Firnace State Park near Belleville.

It’s kind of amazing I lived this long tbh
