That elbow looks on purpose to me. Am I missing something?

How is that on purpose?

On purpose? Nah. Did I like to make sure my elbows were high if I was digging for a puck on the boards with my back to the rest of the ice? Yup.

Huh? He's clearly sweeping the puck into the zone...

He looked over his shoulder and sees someone coming and throws it elbow out more that he would have otherwise.

There were a fair amount of Erie Otter jerseys last night.
I found it out it wasn't a national game either - especially since all this verbal slobbies about the best player the world, etc.

Does a Canadian team ever make it on USA National TV?

Looks like he's tracking the puck, he is aware someone is behind him, so he's getting the puck deep and there's a little brace for impact...slow motion ruins sports, I get that, but this is some kind of conspiracy theory stuff to think he really went out trying to help Jultz in the mush...that's quite a stretch...

So uh...letang. Not good this year, right? At least with the puck on his stick.
There's no panic in this post. He'll be fine. But blech, none the less.

If you think he did it on purpose, there's little to no hope for you. You're a bad sports fan, and you should feel bad.

I think it's the same as always for Letang. He's not a good trigger guy, honestly, I can't stand it. I just wish they'd let Phil enter the zone on the PP and then let Schultz rip it from the point.
I've just never really been a major fan of Letang and them winning without him last year really did no favors in my mind about his talent being totally necessary.
That all being said, Letang is another one of a kind talent, you don't get rid of it. I just wish he'd be able to get the puck on net more. Hell, I think that's the case for both Geno and Kessel too. Those two being on the same line together I think is possibly more of a detriment than a blessing - the continual "no here you take the shot" and they pass it back and forth is infuriating. Shouldn't expect any different, it's been that way on the PP too for longer than when Kessel was here.

It's crazy that a player with his lateral skating ability has such an issue getting shots through...it's been like that for ten years...He's not a good trigger guy
