Having my flight lesson cancelled one last time in 2024 was a nice touch. My instructor was up there prior to my lesson in a Cessna 152 and texted me "nah, not today"

It did end up being very windy during my lesson time.

This weather blows. It’s miserable out. I’d rather it be colder and snow.

Guess I should enjoy the 70 and sunny in Mexico while I've got it.

We’ve got a heavy thunderstorm ripping through here right now. Here’s hoping that just the rain remains through, say, 2am…

Just saw someone on r/pittsburgh complaining that they were setting them off while it was raining.

"Think about the dogs and vets!"

I think you need to expect fireworks on new years eve.

Funny how all of the PTSD "RESPECT DA TROOPS" complainers have invariably never served

They’re going to happen one way or another, and I’d very much prefer it in the rain for obvious reasons. Plus, the earlier the better. What kind of lunatic would prefer them going off at midnight as opposed to 8:30pm?

Yeah those are some nasty squalls, especially that one crossing I-80 towards State College. Looks like 80 is closed near Clarion

I'd guess we got about 4" here in Beaver Co. Always hard to tell, I live on a hill and the wind blows it around so in some spots you can see grass, and in others it's drifted a foot.

I live across the street from a church. They have a parking lot that's probably 3/4 of a football field. Usually they have a guy plow it, today there's a guy with a corded snowblower out doing it. Better him than me. Wonder what happens if we get a foot or more?

We didn’t get much in Bellefonte, but it was enough to make it messy out there. Definitely the kind of snow that makes things super slick.

I shoveled around 3. I should’ve checked the weather because the squall came through around 3:45. I’m never shoveling again.

Chances for the Monday storm fading fast, going to get suppressed to the south. Richmond might end up with more snow than we had all last year.
