3:30-6am was as wild as it got. Never seen or heard winds that hard before. But a cursory check has everything intact and just some tree shrapnel around. Power once again stayed on entire time. Helps to be on same power grid as Universal.

So will Milton being less than predicted be a good thing or end up with more conspiracy theories?

NWS and FEMA flipped a switch to drop it to a Cat 3 before landfall after they got everyone fired up by making it a Cat 5 in the leadup. Dems probably spun up those tornadoes in strategic red areas to try to eliminate voters.

Friend of mine in Sarasota got pretty lucky.

He's missing a ton of shingles and his pool flooded, but that's about it.

Uncle and his girlfriend live in Port Saint Lucie and the destruction in that area from all of the tornados is insane.

Community notes work sometimes.

Hurricanes, like other weather phenomena such as temperature and wind, are dynamic and can change due to a variety of factors. Milton’s strength fluctuated due to eyewall replacement, wind shear, land contact, and more. This is in no way an error on the Weather Channel’s part.

They don't deserve morons like that commenting on their reporting.

Are you on the government controls the weather bandwagon.

Nice work, edward!

I am pissed because I knew nothing of this until like 9 PM. We have too much light pollution in our neighborhood to see much, unfortunately, but we were down near the beach earlier tonight. Had I known, I would've been there. Damn it.

High of 60 here tomorrow, which is a bit brisk for us in mid October. A friend up near Boone, NC reported snow fall tonight a few weeks after a tropical system wreaked havoc in his area. Cool.

PHL is about to set a record for most consecutive days without measurable rainfall. It's really bad.

We haven't had rain since the first couple of days of October, when one of the hurricanes brushed past us. I don't think we actually got rain at our house either. Very strange. And nothing in the forecast for the next 10 days either.
