I still can't believe I won the league. Kraftster's lead looked insurmountable at one point and I initially wasn't going to make any moves. I believe that I didn't take the lead until the Saturday. I think this is the first fantasy league championship I've won. I've come in second place more times than I care to admit.

So I hate to be the one to bring this up but need to know what the protocol is so I can plan other moves. How do I handle Jose Fernandez? Do I just have to buy out his contract years or what? I believe Beerman said this happened once before a few years ago.

LTIR indefinitely?
Just like if he blew out his shoulder and never played again.
A) You can buy him out, or
B) Finish the draft with him on your roster, LTIR him to get additional cap space and sign a free agent or bring up a rook.

Just my two cents.

I would say Fernandez and Ventura should be able to be dropped without penalty.

Yep.
My wife and I were in the stands for what was arguably his best performance, Game 6 of the 2014 WS which he pitched in honor of Oscar Taveras. Most amazing sporting event I've ever attended.

Would anyone have interest in just a one year league? I jumped out of my money league because I didn't have the time so I need at least something..
