Traveled to the Mistake by the Lake to see Blind Guardian.

They **** slayed. Highlight of the night was the crowd singalong with Script for My Requiem. Got the Hansi "that was f'n awesome" stamp of approval

Only downside was thanks to an accident on 279, we missed most of Night Demon. I was looking forward to hearing some of those songs. Oh well.

Ending my vacation with the Knocked Loose show tonight at stage AE. Going to try not to get injured.

I did not get injured though someone else did during the seconds openers set and the show had to be stopped for a few minutes. Overall though a great night, but I am for sure getting older and older ....stayed out of the pit and stood towards the back most of the night. Still hurting this morning from literally just standing and headbanging. Getting old sucks.

Knocked Loose is up there though with Metallica as the best live show I've ever seen though. Just incredible.

Nothing beats metal shows with a live orchestra.

And, ya know, Simone Simons.

Thinking about this, there are three other songs along with Mourning Palace that just get my adrenaline going like no other. In no particular order (after Puppets, which will always be #1):

Always love me some Jinjer. Seeing them again on Sept 22nd at the Roxian.

They also just put out a new song the other day. It's as always...really good.

Also I saw LOG and Mastadon at Stage AE on Tuesday. They put on a killer show. It poured for about 30 minutes during LOG but it only added to the show IMO.

Finally saw Megadeth tonight so that checks off the final of The Big 4 that I needed to see live (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth). They put on a pretty damn good show. Dave was complaining about the lighting not working right, but they had like a 16 song set and did all the big hits plus some deep cuts.

On this day 20 years ago I met Metallica at the civic arena during a meet and greet I won from the metclub.

Today I get to meet Jinjer a second time for a meet and greet.

Time flies.

**** what a show last night. Jinjer is just incredible every time I see them. Like Metallica level as a live band. I was on the rail the whole night something u haven’t done since my 20’s. Feeling that big time today.

Super fun vip too getting to listen to soundcheck a stage walkthrough and the normal meet and greet stuff. All of them are super humble and easy to talk to.

Hanabie who id never heard off were also awesome. An all girl japanese death metal band basically. Not what I expected

I assume this cover is to celebrate The Hu opening for Iron Maiden on their current tour.

Need a Jinjer/Spiritbox tour like now.

This whole performance is great, but inject 2:41 to the end straight into my veins.
