The front end is too busy but will probably be toned down for production. As a hatchback lover, I'm glad to see that Honda is bringing back the hatchback versions. Honda's Fit hatchback sells very well, and they're probably also being driven by the fact that across the hall at the NY Auto Show Toyota is showing off the new Scion iM hatchback, which is a version of the European Toyota Auris.

Don't like that Scion, either....!

What's with everyone styling their cars like Lamborghini Aventadors?? It looks cool on a Lambo because it's a Lambo.

They're my bikes. Just waiting for the weather to sort itself out. It snowed 6" last week, was 79F yesterday, and it's calling for 2-4" on Saturday. Too inconsistent to bother taking them off of the storage insurance and onto the real policy.

Filled out the application for a WI Collector Plate today for the black bike as it's over 20 years old. $73 for a lifetime registration and you get this fancy plate:

The RC-51 is going to get a WI Vet plate. No upcharge, pretty cool of them.

Their original announcement got no retweets, no other replies, and one favorite. Ouch.

No, nobody is looking to modify their i3. Stop.

Currently in the (serious) process of getting my first motorcycle.

Looking for something small, practical, and frankly cheap that I can use for commuting.

Ninja 500 will do all that. That said, I can recommend the Honda CBR600 F4i. Assuming you want a streetbike. If you want a small cruiser I don't know what to tell you.

Both of the bikes pictured above were about $3K. The RC-51 is a trip.

I guess this is the part where I make my obligatory, "if you're on the road, driving something with 2 wheels, you're terrible and everyone hates you. If you don't have an engine, everyone REALLY hates you" post.

Also this is the only time where I miss EPP. It felt great to treat a bicycle rider with the contempt they deserve.

Tesla introduces lower priced AWD electric Model S
The 70D will sit slightly below the relatively new 85D and P85D, the two other new all-wheel-drive models in the Tesla lineup. Those more powerful vehicles have a range of more than 270 miles, a top speed of 155 mph, and are capable of making 0 to 60 in just over 3 seconds.

But this is not the more "affordable" Tesla the company has been promising. Tesla says that vehicle will cost about $35,000, but it may be several years before it goes on sale.

The company has promised to deliver its all-wheel-drive crossover SUV, the much-anticipated Model X, in the third quarter of this year.

Cleaned and stored the snow tires today. Gave the black bike an italian tune up. It's more fun working with the hose in the driveway than shoveling snow off of it.

I need some expert help (so I am cross-posting on this and the other forum, because I want to reach the "experts"):

I just went for my regular BMW maintenance visit (328 Xdrive, about 5.5 years, 45K miles). The dealer service replaced both front and rear brakes (and claimed that thanks to my extended maintenance warranty I saved about $1,700, and a total of $2,300 for the whole visit ?? :scared: ). The only instruction I got was "it will take 150 miles for the brakes to start working properly." Naturally, the Internet is full of super-important instructions for proper break-in of brakes (such as http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm ). So my question is: am I supposed to follow any "protocol"? And if yes, what really works for you? Thanks!

If there was a specific protocol they would have given it to you in a stern and laborious lecture. Just try not to do any panic braking between now and then.

This is correctly something for the TV thread, but..... let's not kid ourselves.

Top Gear Three reunited: Clarkson, May and Hammond hold talks with producer Andy Wilman as HE quits BBC too - and James rules out return saying working with 'surrogate Jeremy would be stupid'
Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond today held talks with Top Gear executive producer Andy Wilman - just hours before it was sensationally announced he had quit the BBC.

The resignation marks another blow for the hugely-popular show, which has been marred by uncertainty since Clarkson was axed last month following a 'fracas' with a producer.

It means Mr Wilman, a childhood friend of Clarkson who helped revamp Top Gear into the Corporation's most successful programme, is now free to reunite with the team on a rival channel.

There is widespread speculation that the men are working on a new motoring series to be aired by Netflix, Amazon or another British broadcaster - in what would be a nightmare scenario for the BBC.
A month ago, Wilman sent a letter entitled 'au revoir' to the 113 staff on the show. He denied it was a resignation at the time, but that has in fact now come to pass.

All three of the presenters' contracts termed out at the conclusion of the last series. The BBC elected not to renew Clarkson's deal (as legally distinct from terminating his contract/firing him); May, as noted, said he won't re-up without JC; Hammond has been mum so far, but I think the writing is on the wall.

These four guys are the heart, brain, id and creepy uncle of 'Top Gear'. I have no interest in a show that doesn't involve the lot. Here's hoping they wind up at Netflix, and sooner rather than later.

Agreed. Top Gear will reinvent itself down the line without them, wouldn't be the first, but I'd love to get some use out of my Netflix account. Do this, boys.
