Hello all. Do you think the incoming tariffs are going to affect vehicle prices? My wife and I were going to buy a new car in the next 6 months. Should we just do it now? Is there any shot they actually get cheaper?

I can't imagine they get cheaper, and it feels like everybody has low interest specials still going on if your financing. I'd pull the trigger now rather than later. I wish I was in a position to pull the trigger on an electric car, because the newer tax incentives will probably disappear.

Washed my car again today. I'm liking the Opti Clean waterless wash, but I need to find something better than the Eagle Edgeless microfibers that I have. They just do not do a great job, and I have to go over parts of the car with my Optimum towel to clean it up.

Just buy a Tesla Model Y. It's the most-American-made car, so tariffs won't affect the price.Pavel Bure wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 4:58 pm Hello all. A lot of Japanese/German cars are made in the USA so they wouldn't be subjected to tariffs. Also, cars made in Mexico would be tariff free due to whatever NAFTA is called now.Shyster wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 6:25 pmJust buy a Tesla Model Y. Tariffs can lead to a higher prices for American made goods too.
If company A is an American company that was charging $5 but only making a $1 profit prior to the tariffs because foreign company B was charging the same amount but able to make a $2 profit because of lower labor costs, now if the tariffs cause foreign company B to raise their price to $7 in order to make the same profit, company A can now raise their price too as to be at the same price.

Two. The Forester we have is perfect most of the time. However once friends/cousins/anyone else gets involved it’s painfully inconvenient.faftorial wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 7:58 pmHow many kids do you have?Pavel Bure wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 7:54 pmSomething 3rd row. If you want to tow a camper don't get a hybrid lol. If you must get a Ford an Ecoboost is your best bet but I also own an ecoboost and never again.robbiestoupe wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 7:36 pmWe’re in the same boat as Pavel. I'd get a Sienna minivan. Tons of space, great fuel economy (every Sienna is now a hybrid), five-star NHTSA safety rating, and an interior that's like a lounge on wheels.

What’s wrong with the hybrid F150? Our neighbor has one and he loves it. Uses it for pulling a camper as wellmac5155 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 8:45 pmIf you want to tow a camper don't get a hybrid lol.
