I have an irrational (or rational?) fear they're going to bring back PO next season.

They let him go once...I have confidence they can do it again. Especially because Kolyachonok can skate.

You know, I had a positive vibe of where this team can be next year with Mcgroarty and Koivunen looking like above average NHLers and hopefully a solid UFA addition
But then I look at the free agent market for defensemen and it’s just not good. Even the RFA market isn’t great. And this team needs two defenseman in my estimation

We have a stockpile of draft picks, if they truly want to make a move for a D

Boko Imama is the Penguins' Masterton nominee.

lol that’s pretty dumb

Not as dumb as Devan Dubnyk winning it over Kris Letang after he returned from his stroke due to overcoming *checks notes* playing for the shithole Oilers.

I think of a modicum of sportsmanship when I think of the Masterton and Boko's season with the Penguins this season is known for fights and almost blowing someone's knee out

After his 2nd one in 22-23. I'm talking about the 14-15 Masterton.

I thought referencing Dubnyk was going to be enough but you're not wrong lol

Not sure why Imama being nominated is dumb

The only other person I can even really think of (in the spirit of the award) is Nieto, given what he went through last year. Didn't really play enough though.
Maybe Hayes because he was friends with Johnny Gaudreau? Idk.
Moot point because I assume the entire CBJ organization is winning this one...

Dubnyk was a good nomination. He was effectively out of the league and worked hard to get back in. 99.9% of guys that have their game fall apart that much hang them up. He should cut that trophy in half and share it with Sean Burke.
At that said, Letang should have won it

Getzoff turned his focus to impending RFA Conor Timmins and if the Penguins would be looking to keep him for next season based on what he has shown. “I think we certainly will [keep him],” Dubas said. “I just think with that way he played, we got lucky at the deadline that a lot of the moves happened in quick succession at the end [just before the deadline].”

Is Poulin even considered a prospect at this point?

Interesting. There must be more injuries because WBS could still (I think) get a first round bye if they continue to win. Watering down their roster for the big club doesn't help them achieve that.
