bad take imo
Way to cut off the rest of the quote, man... real fake news of you.

I was about to ask if he was inducted into the HOF, what team would he be inducted under only to then google it a realize that's a baseball thing, not a hockey thing... so nevermind.

I feel like ya'll are forgetting that we traded for Hall of Famer Jerome Iginla, which of course lead to the best seasons of his career along with his only Stanley Cup.

Horny is a good call. Cup winning goal. Good length of run with team.

Based on criteria....Kovalev isnt a bad call.

Hornqvist is my spirit animal, but the pedestal is pretty high for him to make these teams. Maybe if he had spent twice as long as here...

00-01: 76 points in 43 games
01-02: 31 in 24
02-03: 91 in 67
03-04: 9 in 10
05-06: 22 in 26

I know his play is mostly associated with the 80s and 90s, but he was still at a level above the majority of the league even in the last years. Also, his contributions as a player/owner in this 25 year period are more important than any other statistical achievement by any other player not noted above.

IMO he still counts.

Was the Jagr bobblehead night on the schedule all year, or was it a recent addition? Think he'll be there?

Sid-Jake-Geno
Gonch-Letang
Fleury

Phil-Kunitz-Lemieux
Dumo-Orpik
Murray

I wouldn’t have a leg to stand on to truly argue against any of them.

Are his four seasons better than say, Rust's career? I say no. But Mario got 2nd team anyway

Phil over Rust is probably the most surprising imo.

I don't really consider either Jagr or Lemieux to be part of this quarter century, even though they both briefly played in it. I also would not pick anyone who didn't win at least one of the three Cups over the last 25 years, and Mario and Jags did not. I would go with:

Crosby-Malkin-Kunitz
Gonchar-Letang
Fleury

Rust-Guentzel-Hornqvist
Dumoulin-Orpik
Murray
King Colby

Phil’s 2016 postseason alone earned him that spot. He should’ve had the Conn Smythe.
