It's a very vulnerable position to be in and I don't mean just physiologically...I mean, in the game, you don't expect that. There's an element of trust there. I have taken tens of thousands of faceoffs in my life, you can do some damage in that space but it's accepted that you don't...

Good for him. Matt Roy signed for 6x5.75 last summer so this is probably a team friendly deal considering the cap trajectory

I’m always a bit surprised when guys sign an extension so shortly after being traded. I think I’d want to feel things out in a new city before committing to 6 more years. Especially being a ufa in a few months.
