The cancer comment was obvious hyperbole.

I thought it would be funny if he got injured when getting close to the record, in the cosmic sense. After Mario's cancer and Sid's neckmeat, Alexander has had a virtually injury-free career. It doesn't diminish the accomplishment but if you wanted to build a case it would contribute to it.

I'm really getting soft (soff??) in my old age. First sad that Ovechkin is hurt, and then I almost almost felt bad for Justin Tucker. Not quite, but very close.
