Drop Holtby down to C
Move Turco and Burke to C
Might move Quick to B

Interesting...just for the conversation of it...
I would have had you pegged as someone that liked Holtby. Quiet, efficient, effective. What am I missing there?
Burke deserves some credit for adaptability. He came in to the league with almost this hunched over Terry Sawchuk style and then he found his way into almost a Glenn Hall style butterfly situation. Not the most mobile guy and when he was, there were some holes...seemed to lack consistency. But there's talent there.
My issue with Turco is that he starts from a deficiency with his positioning. So, everything is a fight for him. And he was athletic and had a glove and he could move...but once his athletic prime ran out, he sort of went t*ts up in a hurry...
My thing with Quick - who I like a lot, he had the best playoff run since the lockout in 2012 - is in the last 5, 6, 7, 8, years of his career, did he ever just make a save? It just seemed like everything was this spider monkey, Mission Impossible ****. Just for efficiency and your own work management, you ever just - ya know - just stick one into the corner without army crawling under barbed wire to get from the middle of your crease towards the post...?
His upside is "B", I agree. Like, his ceiling. But for his career? I don't feel like he added to his game as much as he could/should have...he's not Hasek, so...I feel like doubling down on the "I can shuffle my way out of anything" in his mid 30's wasn't the best play...am I out to lunch?

Am I missing something, but I figured Beezer and Richter would be closer together?
Richter was often chosen over Beezer in int'l and obviously had the playoff run. Is it because of Beezer's Florida run that changes the game? (admittedly, i dont know much of his play for the Rags in the 80s....)

It's because Beezer is a better goalie, chiefly. More scalable talents and traits, allowing him to b successful across eras. Richter had drips and drabs of success...early 90's - ended by Francis's shot from center in game 4. He was on the 1994 Dream Team, but wasn't a top 3 player on the team, and was probably out played by McLean slightly in the Final. He was a disaster in 1995. Then had the '96 World Cup success unexpectedly. Then had a nice run with the '97 Rangers - Gretzky's death rattle. After that, irrelevant and went down with the ship.
Both guys often made those international teams. Beezer was an old man for the '98 Olympics. I imagine the thought process was that the more athletic and acrobatic had more game-stealing upside than the most technical and composed Vanbiesbrouck. Which makes some sense...Messier and Leetch, I believe, hand picked Richter in the toss-up...roles reversed, I think Richter fades from memory going to Florida...I think everyone won. But in terms of skill, adaptability, etc. I'll take Beezer.
Richter is a rebound machine, for one.

Where do you put Jose Theodore and his Hart season?
Edit: It was kind of a joke, but very few goalies own a Hart...

I don't see myself considering him for this list. Having a blip season and literally nothing else, pretty easy pass...it's not like he was so technically magnificent that I have to make an excuse for him either...he struggled with mobility on the other side of the lockout...to his credit, he adapted and salvaged some more career...but it's a very weak Hart and even a pretty weak Vezina...so I don't really feel the need to give it full freight. One of the weirder situations...
2002 saw a tie for the Hart...Theodore and Iginla got the exact same voting points (434). Theodore had a couple more first place votes and got it. Theodore was left off of 4 of 62 top-5 ballots entirely; Iginla just 1. Three of the top four vote-getters were goalies: Theodore, Roy, Burke (way down the line, Khabibulin and Brodeur were both on multiple ballots).
Theodore ALSO tied for the Vezina with Roy. Again, Theodore got a few more first place votes to break the tie. Both Theodore and Roy were left off of three top-3 ballots.
And then Roy beat Theodore for First-Team All-Star, as Roy secured half of the first-place votes.
So Theodore was half an inch away from no Vezina, no Hart, and a Second-Team All-Star finish for that season...instead he gets remembered a little bit haha

Some guy who's been in the league for 3 years now, or I think that's how long he's played for the Wings. He must have some phenomenal skills for that contract.
Hockey Randomness
He scored 30 last year and almost singlehandedly dragged them into the playoffs (including a hat trick against the Pens and 2 against the Canadiens to keep them alive).
Way more than just "some guy". He's pretty much their future 1st liner.

Yeah, insanely good young player...10 points in 9 career games against us too.
