I took the 's' out and the link still didn't work so it's here as a URL.

Edit: Spoiled image since it's kinda big. It's a listing of how often (or not) penalties have been called this year.

Happy belated Flyer Elimination Day!

They were so bad this year I didn't even realize it had come and gone.

Tanner Pearson was signed to an extension today. 1.25/1.55.... so 2 years, 1.4 average cap hit.

Good price.

So my best friend just left yesterday for an awesome trip that I'm very jelly of. Was at the Buffalo game last night, heading to Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal for a game at each location. Said they'll be in each city for about 2 days then up to the next city.

The United States coughed up two three-goal leads and required a change in goal, but managed to defend the women's world hockey championship crown with a 7-5 win over Canada on Saturday in Malmo, Sweden.
How do you cough up two three goal leads when your opponent scores 5? Im going to keep an eye out for Justin Cuthbert so I never read something he writes again.

In other words they definitely never coughed up the 3-0 lead, they may have given up the 5-2 lead.

Luca Sbisa got 3 years, $3.6 million from Vancouver. And I thought, "hmm, he didn't embarrass himself this year like usual...good for him to take the job security and stay in the league like that..." then it turned out to be $3.6 PER year...that's brutal. I'd rather have Luke Schenn at $3.6 then this dunce...Sbisa is almost an exact clone of Robert Bortuzzo, in other words, almost completely useless...could you imagine Bortuzzo making $3.6 mil per year?

Similar reaction to Engelland's contract with the Flames in the offseason.

Yup, that's another good one. Big, dumb hockey players get bucks. At least Engo and Bort are RHS, so they fill a quota, so to speak...Sbisa is LHS...he could easily be improved upon for under a $1 million...

Of all of the potential playoff teams (BOS included), the Pens have the 3rd-worst GF in the league at 218. The two worse? MTL at 217, and BOS at 211.

MTL is 7th with a +30 goal differential
PIT is 16th with a +13
BOS is 17th with a +8

Among all teams, not just playoff teams
