Walman to EDM for a 1st.
SJ tidied up there. Got Yzerman to package a 2nd with him, then flipped him for a 1st

Didn't understand that deal at the time. Nice job by Grier if he indeed got a 1st straight away here..

The Rangers are gonna get JJ Peterka...? Ugh, suck my **** from the back if that happens...that would be so annoying...

Stape says no, and he seems to be more locked in with NY hockey than Seravalli

Man, I get why teams want a Rantanen extension in place, but this whole "we need an extension in place to make this trade" is so dumb.
He's a RENTAL. You are bringing the guy in to shore up a (hopefully) deep playoff run or be a piece that brings you over the hump. There's never a guarantee they stay. This has been the case literally forever (or at least since free agency became a thing). Look at the Hossa situation - would you have traded not having Hossa and potentially not even making the ECF versus being 2 shots away from a Stanley Cup Game 7? Hell no.
Clearly, the dude either doesn't know where he wants to go after being traded from Colorado, a place that's been home his entire career, and trying to get him to decide where to spend the next 8 years of his life in 5 minutes is extemely counterproductive. If you don't think he's going to sign the extension, don't make the **** trade lol.

Philly traded Kuzmenko to LA for a 2027 3rd.
... why? You gave up Farabee and Frost to get him and Pelletier. Seems like a hefty price to pay for a dude you were only able to get a future 3rd for in a seller's market

That's an interesting one. I have a lot of time for Norris. He's been beaten up. But he can play, he can score.

That might negate some other moves for LA. Kuzmenko has a pretty high cap I think.

It's Kuzmenko at 50% and a 7th for a 2027 3rd.

Incredible. This is a testament to the state tax system beginning to break hockey as contracts increase
