The magic of taking my daughter can't be replaced, and I'm excited to take my son. That said, the two can't even be compared. I loved doing Disney without kids too.

I have no doubt that it would be amazing with your kids. Until the little **** asks to wait in a 45 minute line to meet a frail college girl dressed as fat yellow bear. The magic of taking my daughter can't be replaced, and I'm excited to take my son. That said, the two can't even be compared. I loved doing Disney without kids too.

I just got my 120 gallon tank filled - $3.84 per lb. Since getting the new heat pump in 2018, we rarely use the gas logs. The last time they put gas in was July 2020. So not too shabby. And we'll get what gas we don't use refunded when we move, so that's nice.Just got my bill - propane is now $2.849. GTFO with that ****. Third highest price I have ever paid in the last 11 years. How big is your tank? We have a 500 gallon underground tank. It's depressing how quickly it empties in the winter.Propane delivery truck showed up at 6:45am to refill my tank. Looks like Financial Pain December continues.

That was a surprise to us when we bought the house. Sellers requested reimbursement for the propane in the tank at the closing table.Source of the post And we'll get what gas we don't use refunded when we move, so that's nice.

We rent the tank, so the company will pull the gas and refund us directly.

We technically rent our tank, too. If we want to buy it, we pay a prorated amount, which has a specific 'lowest price' associated with it. I think it's just under $2k. I actually like our propane company, and doubt it's worth it to pay it off and switch.

Weirdness in my neighborhood the last 24 hours. There was a full-on SWAT raid at a house related to a stabbing (domestic violence); while police were on-scene there was a big car accident at the end of the block at the cordon line; today we had two LAPD air units overhead at the same time (the department only has like 15 or 16 total, and there are rarely more than 5 or 6 airborne at any one time). And we had substandard Japanese curry for dinner. Wtf man.

That greatly impressed me as well. If that had happened to me, you'd hear one sold beep for like two minutes straight.Yeah, I was more impressed that I didn't hear a single bleep.

As a childless millennial (born 1981) who just finished going to Disney World, here are my observations:
The app is glitchy and not the easiest to use especially for booking and cancelling Genie+ selections. I had to delete the app and redownload it in order to be able to cancel a selection. It can also be a pain to juggle the reservations since the time slots for the most popular rides like Test Track and Slinky Dog Dash, will be completely filled shortly after 7 AM. I would still suggest buying it for each day and every park especially if you can't get to the park at open and stay until close. The individual lightning lane was definitely the best option for us especially for Rise of the Resistance and Flight of Passage.
If you have a kid that can't walk and isn't out of diapers, why are you here? Most parents and the kids in that category seemed to be miserable. In one particular instance, there was a couple with 2 babies on Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad that were screaming their heads off and holding their ears because they were completely terrified from the load noise.
Mask use is pretty strictly enforced when indoors on the rides for the most part, but you'll still have folks that try to skirt the rules occasionally and lots of those that don't have their nose covered. Mask use in the hotels is not enforced at all from my experience. As for social distancing, first off it is not possible with how crowded it gets, but especially for some rides, like haunted mansion, where actually they direct you to get as close as possible to the people in front of you.
Galaxy Edge is absolutely awesome and the rides, Rise of the Resistance and Smugglers Run, were definitely the highlight of my trip. Oga's Cantina was cool, but a little to small and packed for me too be comfortable in there. My other favorite rides were Toy Story Mania, Kilmanjaro Safaris, Flight of Passage, and Remy's (although it broke down while we were in line, but since we used ILL we were able to come back at any point the rest of the day to ride it once it was fixed. It broke down again after we rode it so something to keep in mind.)
If you aren't in a resort that is within walking distance or on the monorail, make sure exactly what it takes to get to the Magic Kingdom. I stayed at the Swan and the bus doesn't take you directly there, but instead drops you off at the Ticket and Transportation Center. From there you can take either the monorail or a ferry to Magic Kingdom, but the entire trip can take close to an hour especially if you leave after the fireworks show. You can also walk from there to MK, but it is 30 minutes and not clearly marked.
The Peter Pan ride was very underwhelming especially for the demand. If you can't use Genie+, I'd skip it. Other rides that were not worth it were Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion.
I ate dinner at Narcoosie's, Citricos, Jungle Skipper Canteen, Hollywood Brown Derby, and Teppan Edo. The Oak Grilled steak at Citricos was far and away my favorite, with Teppan Edo coming in second. For lunch, my favorite meal was the Memphis Dry Rub Ribs from Regal Eagle BBQ at Epcot.

Nice. I think there are a few more of us headed there in the next few weeks.

Just got official approval from ye boss to take the day off for my park reservations, so that's fun. I think I might do the lightsaber thing, that's really hard to pass on for a second run of GE. But i could definitely use some coaching up on using the app and securing ride reservations and maximizing our childless adult park enjoyment. I think I've been to Anaheim probably 7 or 8 times, and I've never done it 'right'.
We were considering getting a hotel room so we could eat dinner at The Blue Bayou. It would be the only reason we get a hotel room for this excursion. Worth it?

And i should note, sort of the only reason we travel is for food and beverage enjoyment purposes.
