Eh, they could wear Donald Trump jerseys as long as they win the cup.

Totally agree. I don't care what they wear. Only care how they play!Eh, they could wear Donald Trump jerseys as long as they win the cup.

Guentzel and Letang made posts that suggest they'll go with white helmetsHonestly doesn't look as bad as the leak when someone is actually wearing it.
Although, if for some idiotic reason they go with a black helmet, that would ruin it.

Oh good that **** logo will be on the helmets too. I was worried.

I've aged out of the hockey jersey market, but if the sales of these things keep hockey jobs, I'm all in.

I think a black version of the white pigeon (1993) jersey would've turned out better than this thing.

These were part of the initial jersey design concepts in 92/93. Same with the white reverse retros actually, though the whites say Penguins not Pittsburgh.

I hate to think this way but,
I think the Pen’s window for another cup is closed. IMO they seem to be at the tipping point of continuing to be good enough to get into the playoffs but not compete with younger hungrier teams that are also there.
I just don’t see that same passion in the team when they get to the playoffs anymore. It’s just normal to them and it almost seems like they forgot what it’s like to earn it. Sully obviously relit that fire but whether it was fatigue or complacency IMO “deh pretend to care.”
I don’t have the solution because if you “retool” you have what 2-3 years of Crosby/Malkin/Letang still being elite. But do you waste one or two of those years? Do you keep on the path making trades that aren’t putting you over the top and wait for the bottom to totally fall out?
In general I’m spoiled as a fan seeing 3 cups with this core but I’m also disappointed to see it, IMO, coming to an end like it is.

Yeah, I mean, it's something that I think we've discussed for the last couple years on a macro level...what small chance we probably did have to extend the window a bit, or crack it open slightly more, appears to have been mostly whisked away with bad trades, roster decisions, and - seemingly substandard drafting...
I don't know how involved Sid really is...but I'd solicit him more in the decision making process. The Devils did that with Brodeur the early 2000's and it got them two more Cups and two more Finals appearances...and Brodeur a front office job...

Same here. After seeing the moves made by JR, I immediately went into 'the beginning of the end of this era' mode. If we manage to actually compete for a Cup, great, but I'm no longer expecting it.Source of the post In general I’m spoiled as a fan seeing 3 cups with this core but I’m also disappointed to see it, IMO, coming to an end like it is.

Thanks. I hate it.Ugh.
The gold on white looks washed out even with the black bordering around the letters.
I'm hoping it grows on me once I see it in a game.

I'd like to see it with the gold and black flipped on the sleeves and bottom.

We said the window was closing 5 years ago too. I'll believe it when Sid's gone
