If you were set on it, I'd still file a claim with eBay to ding the seller. That's shady.

Oh that's happening. His 100% seller rating will be a thing of the past. I'm just waiting for his last response before I drop the hammer on it.

He even admitted that he didn't expect the car to go for only $200 more than what he listed it. He listed for 4500, I bid 5000.01 but the bid maxed at 47 and some change. He also said that he planned on getting 6 for it and if he didn't he was going to cancel the auction. I mean could I go higher? Yeah, I guess, but 5000 is what I have in spendable cash without having to resort to secondary funding. I was putting this all on a 0% card, and the plan was to pay it off within the week since my cred union isn't exactly down the road from me. Plus the Amazon perks from a $4700 purchase I would think are pretty good.

But if that's the case where he had a number in mind, then why not set a reserve?

Edit 1: Also, props to Escrow.com for being on top of things. Even outside of business hours, they still cancelled my transaction within an hour of messaging their team.

Edit 2: Now it's excuse after excuse from him. But so and so sold for this, and you can't export one for less than 10k (total lie), and I was having issues when I listed it. And now your next issue is going to be that negative feedback that I leave.

Reserve costs more to list.

Exactly. He's trying to game the system. Glad to hear you aren't letting it go, because shitty sellers like that need to be removed from the platform. I've lost a few items to **** like this.

Yes it does, and as the buyer those fees are not my problem.

If he lists it again, I'm reporting him for fraud since he said the item was "damaged or out of stock."

My daughter and I went to the pharmacy and then to Taco Bell and then to the beer store. Go to leave the leave the beer store and no crank or start and when I pulled the key out the dash lights stayed on. The internet tells me its a bad starter and or bad wires that connect to the starter. Grrr. Hasn't left me stranded in years.

It doesn't even click when you try to start it.

They tried to jump start it at the shop but couldn't. He said it's more than likely a bad starter or the wires that connect to to the starter are corroded.

Westen Champlin is living my dream.

Dude has a twin turbo 12v mustang (what. An 1100 lb motor in a car?) try doing this with a modern diesel. That motor will run with the only wires being between the battery and the starter.

68 charger with a big ol blower on it

Twin turbo supercharged hellcat. Oh and dodge GIFTED him one too, but I believe they took it back.

Military humvee

And that's just his recent projects.

There are certain word combinations that evoke very crisp mental images for me. "Florida man"....... "4-door Porsche"............ and now, "diesel Mustang". :D

I have been alerted to the existence of a car killer pothole in my neighborhood. It's on a surface street approach to the freeway on the inside of a blind curve, appears to be about the full length of a sedan and is at leas 4" or 5" deep for all of it. 90% of it is in the lane of travel, so this is easy to hit site unseen.

There has to be a better way to show that your car can take pictures for moments other than adding material to your spank bank.

Noticed at the grocery store the other day that they now have an electric vehicle charging spot in the front. Pretty neat.

That’s the perfect place to have one. You need to let it charge for like a half hour anyways, right?

Dunno, but I agree - perfect place for one. Hope it gets enough use that they find that they need another, and install one.
