+217 means they’re 2:1 underdogs. Sure it wasn’t -217?The stupid Money Inc. Dodgers vs. the "Cardinal Way" nonsense.
I think LA was +217 or something crazy tonight. That'll happen with Scherzer pitching.

Hell yeah now this is stealing homeOhtani "stole home" on a 1st and 3rd situation and went on the throw to second. I have a beef with this play (not Ohtani specifically but whenever this happens) being a) ruled a stolen base and b) people acting like they legitimately stole home when this happens. He advanced on a throw. Same when there's a play at the plate and you take 2nd because they threw home. You didn't hit a double or steal second. Dumb. End rant

Man that homer stings. Eovaldi is dealing tonight otherwise. 4 Ks in 6 batters

Wow. What a weird call. I have never seen that before. So you can just deflect a ball out of play on a bounce and it freezes the runners?

I think the umps talked to New York and agreed that it wasn’t intentional. Renfroe had no time to react to the ballWow. What a weird call. I have never seen that before. So you can just deflect a ball out of play on a bounce and it freezes the runners?

Yeah, they are going to be so salty if they lose.
67 pitches in relief so far, btw.

Red Sox have been the best team at “get hot when it matters” in the last 20 years. Hanging by a shoestring with the pitchers and a relentless lineup

This is a great read. Interview with Shoeless Joe when he was 61 years old and long retired. Published in 1949.

One of the better known stories of Jackson’s post-major league life took place at his liquor store. Ty Cobb and sportswriter Grantland Rice entered the store, with Jackson showing no sign of recognition towards Cobb. After making his purchase, the incredulous Cobb finally asked Jackson, “Don’t you know me, Joe?” Jackson replied, “Sure, I know you, Ty, but I wasn’t sure you wanted to know me. A lot of them don’t.”

Just watched this play, seems pretty straightforward. I saw some of the conversation around it and expected to see renfroe like boot the ball into the stands or something, but a one hop off the wall, and just bounced straight up off his hip as he was sprinting to it? People are just dumb.I think the umps talked to New York and agreed that it wasn’t intentional. Renfroe had no time to react to the ballWow. What a weird call. I have never seen that before.
