Sure does, Ive been listening to some of the songs as he's been releasing them, I've enjoyed everything I've heard so far. His new video from today is pretty cool too, it appears he's recording himself indulging in psychedelics and when they kick in, so does the music. good stuffIt doesn't "appear" to be as fast paced as his usual self. It's pretty technical, but it's more singey if that makes sense.Nice, looking forward to a lil jibber and headphones laterYea buddy. New Billy Strings album is legit.

Two new live recordings out from Fagen/Steely Dan - Nightfly Live and a Steely Dan show. I'm sure you knew that, Gaucho. But for the non-obsessives...

Actually, my first Steely Dan album was a greatest hits album from Columbia House CD club. You laugh, but it was pretty, pretty good.

Well, of course it was.

The 2017 quicksand album was pretty underwhelming. They released a new one distant populations last month and it’s so much better.

Just bought a ticket to see Gary Numan at the T-bird Cafe in Lawrenceville next March.
This doesn't seem right, but the ticket showed up as only being $8.24: $0.00 for ticket plus $8.24 in ticket fees.
Thanks for the almost free ticket.

At some point during my melatonin-tinged insomnia last night, I wondered why John Mellencamp isn't held in the same regard as Bruce Springsteen. Too many pop hits in the 80s? Both are excellent writers, performers, but Springsteen gets all of the love.
Then this song drops today. I'm shook.

John was always an underrated song writer, imo.

Apparently that bar has been pressured to close by developers. It's literally a real-life bar version of the house in Up.

Unfortunately the 20CD box set had a little delay, but Grateful Deads 3 disc Fox Theatre, St. Louis, MO 12-10-71 album is out streaming today and it's a good one.

Random music trivia...no cheating pls.
In the entire history of music, there has been a total of one British artist (solo or group) that charted a #1 single in the United States, having never charted in their home country. Who was that artist?

Wish I was going but just having a hard time going alone since I can't convince anyone to come along, sitting in the nosebleeds in the (probable) rain.
